Incredibly detailed
Of all the books I read on essential oils, this one is the only one who took in a scientific view point as its starting point. It emphasized on choosing the right oils for every person interested in using them. Points on the base oils and how to mix them is also included, but unlike others, the author gave leeway for experimenting - in which safety and preference are included as its top priorities. For mums and soon to be mums, a health advice is also in place if and when, you are planning on utilizing essential oils during pregnancy. On that note, oils for babies, and for various purposes like massages and other therapeutic approaches are discussed in the book. The book really covered a wide range of use for essential oils that is absolutely remarkable. The one that takes the cake for me though is the basic massage techniques. Complaints, first aid, essential oil directory, and a lot more can be found inside. Really great book! I highly recommend it!

Use this book as an essential oil reference.
I think the main purpose of this book is to serve as a guide or preference when looking for the right use of a specific oil and what combination of oils can produce a better effect. This book basically provided almost every oil’s possible use. If you have some oils at home or that were given to you and you are uncertain on how to use it, you can search through this book and you will be able to get the answers. It is not new to everyone, I think, the effectiveness and the benefits of essential oils. However, since there are a lot of essential oils available in the market today, we often get confuse on what particular oil to use for a particular need that we have. Before you purchase essential oils, I would recommend for you to read this book, I believe, this book will be able to help you get the right oil for you.

Great reference guide!
This a great reference book. It explains the steps to creating your own oil mixes and the reasons for how this is done. It's written in terms that anyone could understand. There is a section explaining the benefits of each oil and which oils work well with each oil. The only con is that section has a very large font and I prefer the fonts to be consistent. That said, it doesn't change how well he has written this book. I would recommend this to others.

Really Great Book
I have been using essential oils for a few years now and consider myself quite up to date on the topic. I haven't finished reading the book yet - there is too much information but I have already tried out the recipe for the Blushing Bride day cream and I love it. I am sure that this book will become a firm favorite and I am so glad that I got it before the price went up - it is worth it at full price as well but I am stoked - a great book and a great price :)

Ghost Writer, Perhaps? Confusion Abounds!
While I found the book very informative and easy to read, there is quite a bit confusion as well. I do not see anywhere noted that another author is contributing, yet often there are statements made that indicate it is a woman writing, not a man. One notable instance is when he/she talks about not needing to take pain pills for menstrual cramps for the last 20 years thanks to sweet marjoram oil and lavender. ??? My first questioning moment was when I was reading about his/her favorite perfume blend. I thought it odd that a man was making a floral perfume, but considered it could have been for a gift perhaps. After the menstrual comment though, I knew something else was up, Does anyone have any information on this? I'd like to know who really is writing and if not Dr. Ozz, what HER qualifications are regarding essential oils. Additionally, I have not been able to find any information on a Dr. Philip Ozz in New York, despite the fact that he is apparently a distinguished lecturer and also has a medical practice in New York.

This book is like a lexicon of essential oils
Dr. Ozz really knows a lot about oils - he doesn't merely 'know' it but he substantially does. This book is like a lexicon of essential oils. Dr. Ozz enumerated every oil with its specific use and educated his readers on how to utilize each oil or what combinations would work well with each other. Using these oils is also tantamount to properly storing it. If you are pregnant, you must veer away from the use of cinnamon, rosemary, sage etc. Isn't it every mom's dream to remove stretchmarks from pregnancy? Dr. Ozz has a solution to that! He indicated blends in this book which you could use to say goodbye to those stretchmarks once and for all. This is so far the only 5 star book I read on Essential oils. Best seller indeed!

Good intro book for essential oils.
I actually really enjoyed this book. It had a lot of really good introduction material about essential oils, and what they can be used to treat. It also taught me how to use them properly, because I was honestly lost. The recipes towards the end with juniper, grapefruit, and lemon seem very good. I learned a lot, and will definitely be using essential oils in the future. In fact, I just started searching for some on Amazon!

Foundations
I'm very new to the subject. So I wasn't too sure on what exactly to expect. I did however find it very useful in really learning all of the foundation I needed in order to understand the essential oils. If you are you true beginner then you will find value inside this book. If you know a lot about the subject and you may pick up a few golden nuggets that you may not have known before.
