I've also tripped over the cable hard and stepped on the cable multiple times (before I had run the cable along the baseboards out of the way), and even though it's fiber optic, it did not seem to damage the cable in any way.I game in 4K60 HDR, which is a bandwidth of ~20Gbps and requires a "Premium" or "Ultra" rated HDMI cable. And this cable works perfectly. Highly recommended.Note: The HDMI connector on the TV side has a wire coming off the side for USB (to provide a small amount of power to step up the voltage), so it may block an adjacent HDMI port. My solution to this was to plug this cable into the last HDMI port on my TV. Some older TVs may only accept 4K from certain inputs, so it's potentially possible that you would need a short, cheap HDMI extender in order to not block an adjacent HDMI port, depending on your TV. You may potentially also need a short USB extender if an available USB port is far enough away from the HDMI inputs.
