However, it must always be oiled lightly all over (every nook and cranny) after each use. This is normal because it's made of iron. Also it's important to wipe it dry immediately (after washing with warm water only) . And then when it's dry, put a little bit of oil on your hand rub your palms together and apply it lightly all over the inside and outside surfaces. Repeat till every part has a light film of oil.
