SilverStone Technology 10Gb/s SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Type-C to NVMe M.2 SSD Enclosure MS11C

Bought this for my MacBook to expand the storage. Everything works as advertised, though I wish they included a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable (currently have to use the little adapter that it came with). Also wish there were screw threads where you screw in the plates, as those seem like they could wear out if you are constantly changing SSDs.

I'm using it only at usb3 speeds. It works great. I did have to put in some effort to get the memory card to fit along with the included and necessary heat transfer pads. I think I would have preferred if they had an open clamshell design instead of having to slide in the stick with the heat transfer plastic because the plastic is a little sticky and hard to slide in, though I got it done. Other than the installation, it works great.

First, I own several Silverstone products. They're generally a little more expensive but always well made. This thing is well made but unfortunately poorly designed.The only way to access the PCB is to slide it in or out through the removable end caps. It comes with thermal pads. You end up with two possible scenarios.1. It slides in easily and the top thermal pad has poor contact with the enclosure.2. The top thermal pad makes good contact but you end up with a ruined thermal pad as you try to work it in.I don't know what they were smoking.

Le produit n'a pas donné le résultat escompté à cause du câble fourni. J'ai tout d'abord et beaucoup de problème avec le formatage. J'ai acheté un nouveau câble USB-C à USB-C et j'ai réussi à stabiliser les transferts et à obtenir 900 mo/sec. R/W.
