You cannot go wrong with Madpax backpacks. This is my 3rd graders second one. In first and second grade he carried the other and it still looks as good as the day we bought it. This one looks just like Minecraft so it's definitely a hit with his friends! I would gladly pay $100 for a good backpack that will last all year. I've spent more than half that on Lands End backpacks that break before Christmas break.

BACKPACK RIPPED AFTER 2 MONTHS USE! NOT SURE IF WE RECEIVED A POORLY MADE ONE, BUT CAN'T IT SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN THAT. DISAPPOINTED THAT RETURNS DON'T SEEM TO EASY.
