Adjustable for long-term use
I’m not ashamed to say that I was heavily influenced by people on the Internet to get a weighted vest. My husband also got one and we love wearing them on walks together. This one is great because it’s adjustable in weight. You can start late and then as you gain strength and endurance, you can start adding more weights into it to make it heavier.

As good as it gets!...and instructions for those of you who want them.
For my women in the service, this is for us!I bought this despite the price because there really is no other option for women. I cannot wear men's vests because of my body type. I am about 5'6" but mostly torso and maybe 140 lbs athletic with a soft layer on top. I am generally fairly petite, maybe a 28" waist because I've put on weight, but I wear a 28F bra size so there is simply no way the one size fits all thing would work for me. For reference, I can tighten up a female level IIIa body armor about as tight as it gets. The only sports bras that are tight enough on my are the under armour ones in small. There is a reason why I have this as tight as it gets. So if you're my size, you can still wear this. On the other hand, you can back out all the straps a few inches in the shoulders and a ridiculous amount in the waist, so you can be a big strong awesome viking woman and still have this fit you like a glove. That is, if 30 lbs is enough for you. This vest does a pretty good job of putting the weight between your breasts so it's not really pulling down on you, if you know what I mean. Nobody likes that feeling that their training equipment is going to put their breasts in their lap within the month. Sad face :( Make sure that it is nice and snug if you want to run with it. I fave mine adjusted so that when tight the belted area fits snuggly under the front of my ribcage so as not to bounce up on me when I run. I started with 18 lbs and will be slowly working my way up. Be kind to your knees, don't start with way more weight then you're used to. Give your body a chance to adjust.I saw someone had a hard time figuring out how to put it on, so I will explain it...The vest comes fully loaded with a belt strap on the side in a box with no instructions. There are five pockets on the front and five pockets on the back, each with a three pound weight that looks like a metal bar of soap. (Homey don't play that, hahaha...but I digress.) If you would like to take weights out, take the same amount from the front and back. If you take one from each side, take the middle ones. If you take two, take corresponding left and right ones so that the vest stays evenly weighted. The vest slips over your head with the side that has an X shape for your breast on the front. You can adjust the shoulder strap length by undoing the strap and pulling apart the front and back that are held together with velcro. I overlapped mine as far as they can go without interfering with the securing strap because I am small. Reattach the securing strap and your strap is now adjusted. Repeat on the other side. The belt is made of mostly velcro. There are two elastic sides that will allow you to breathe slightly. There is a velcro attachment with a double D ring (like a belt) that goes on the front. To make the belt smaller, undo the velcro on the back side and make it smaller. It is okay for the velcro to overlap. The belt will still work fine. Adjust it so that, when worn, the front side with the D ring is as tight as it gets for maximum security. Lastly, attach the back side of the velcro to the back side of the vest before you put it on. There is a big strip of velcro (hook side) that goes across the bottom row of pockets on the back. Put on the vest. Pull the belt around nice and tight attaching one side of the velcro to the front and then the other. Use the securing strap with the D rings to sinch it up and then use the velcro end to hold the strap down.AFTER USING IT expect your neck and shoulder area (trapezius and levator scapulae) to be sore from having weight that you're not used to carrying there. This is great for training for a long backpacking trip or for wearing body armor for anyone in the service. For my martial artists, doing forms and stances in this vest will make your legs ready for anything. Just be aware that it will throw your trained balance off a bit. It's worth it.Bottom line is that if you like training and you want some good resistance, but you are a small woman and/or find men's vests uncomfortable on your breasts, just buy it. It will be worth the money.

This is the one
I waited too long to purchase this. I compared it to many other options, on and off Amazon. I’m a 5’8” woman and I was concerned about a comfortable fit. This vest exceeds my expectations and I’m using it for better walking workouts as well as during strength training. I got the model that adjusts to 40 lbs. I like how easy it is to add 3 pounds at a time. I prefer the weight distribution to rucking packs I’ve tried. Highly recommend

designed for women's bodies though the fit is tricky for people with small frames
I am trying to increase the difficulty of my cardio. One thing that has worked for me in the past is using a weighted vest. However, I did not like the weighted vest I had (from GoFit) because it didn't seem designed with women's bodies in mind. My options were either to smash my chest (I am only a B cup but it was still uncomfortable) or wear it so that it was practically an apron, which was uncomfortable and threw me off balance. I decided to get this one instead.I am mostly happy with this. I am 5'5" and I have a small frame. This is probably better for someone with a larger frame. (I am usually a size small in tops.) I had something of a hard time getting this to fit. I had to keep stopping my workout to tighten it and there were some problems I was unable to solve (like it moving up when I jumped). The vest I got (the 30 pound one) only had one velcro strap around the midsection. I think having two might've made it more secure. The effects of the looseness were more evident early in my workout; I think I got used to them. It is also possible that I will have less of a problem when I have more weight in the vest. One other thing I don't care for is the width of the shoulder straps. They are wide enough that it is somewhat difficult for me to raise my arms straight above my head. (Again, not a problem for someone with a larger frame or broader shoulders.) The wide shoulder straps make the neck hole somewhat small, although it *does* work for me. (I don't like to have things brushing my ears since I wear so many earrings, but that is obviously not going to be a problem for a lot of people.)I am neutral on this next thing but I figure it deserves mention. I work out with a sports bra and t-shirt. Usually my t-shirts wick the moisture away from my skin and I stay relatively dry. However, under where the vest was, my shirt was drenched. (I wore this during cardio, as I said above.)But, there are a couple of things I love about this:(1) It does seem designed with women's bodies in mind. I didn't need to wear it super far forward or anything. It didn't smash my chest.(2) The weights. I couldn't be happier with these. They are (I think) 3 pound bars. (I assume they are, anyway, since I got the 30 pound vest and there were 10 of them...) There are lots of possibilities for placement to get an even weight distribution. And I love the bars because my last weighted vest had plastic bags with little bits of iron in them. Over time, these would break open and get iron bits everywhere. Which was messy as well as meaning the weight changed. But with the bars, that is not a problem at all.(3) Even though I had to pull everything basically as tight as it would go, the velcro held through my whole workout.(4) Although I didn't do burpees or anything, bent-over moves seemed to work with this. I couldn't do any moves with my torso at a significant angle with my last vest because of the poor fit. But this one was pretty secure front to back, anyway. The vest seems well-made. The pockets fit the weights perfectly and they close securely. The stitching was even, the material was in good shape, and there was no weird plastic/chemical smell. While there are definitely some drawbacks to the design, I am going with a relatively high rating because this is so much better (especially if you are a woman) than the last weighted vest I had.

Sorry to my mailman
I like how this weighted vest feels, it tightens really nicely and doesn’t move. I will be starting with 20 pounds and work my way up to the full 50 pounds, I am very excited!I just want to apologize to my mailman… 😬

Great vest
Love this weighted vest. There are multiple straps that can be adjusted. It fits well on a woman’s body. The weights are solid material and not sand so there’s no chance of it leaking. It’s easy to take on and off and adjust the weight. Great purchase
