Lethal Dose

Well, even after reading all of the negative reviews, I got curious and had to see for myself just how bad all the people said it was. Also, I'm a big fan of Tom Hardy's, so I just had to take a look.Having said that, I've seen movies that were MUCH worse, right here on Amazon. Several come to mind as I write this, but I don't need to rehash the really bad ones.So, in LETHAL DOSE, at least most of the actors were good, the story was interesting, but did move at a snail's pace! if the writers, director and editor had done a better job, it could've been pretty good for one of those "disease of the week" stories. In closing, I just wanted to say that compared to the hundreds (if not thousands) of movies I've watched over the course of my life, this one was definitely NOT one of the worst.

The film is a typical super-low budget sci-fi horror flick. They're in an underground bunker maze thing and they all start getting knocked off one by one. I actually watched it twice and still have no idea what was going on with the magnets and the electricity and the weird noise that caused people to get sick. And why was that rat bite poisonous?But, you know what? I kind of don't care because, as usual, Tom Hardy kicks @$$. He has several good moments in the film. And for those 2-3 moments, I'll probably watch the movie again because it's got Tom Hardy in it.

This is probably the worst movie I have seen in years. It has no redeeming qualities at all (and that is including a couple of minutes of ultra cute and youthful Tom Hardy). Even when I thought it should be over, it just went on and on and on - really awful. OK, I admit it I had to sit through to the end just to assure myself that there was an end. There is, but I have no idea who was in the boat.

good premise but poor execution

Friends go to a hidden governmental experimentation facility/ laboratory to rescue a friend and walk into a deatly trap. Tom Hardy is great.

Story was original and the actors acted their parts well. Best of all, one of the actors was Tom Hardy.

Movie is interesting and different. For a lower budget movie I think they did very well with it. I enjoyed it :)

Not one of Tom Hardy's best

A group of Animal Rights activists are on a mission to liberate lab animals when their leader Gary gets his leg trapped in a animal trap(just left casually on the floor!). The other members of the group escape, leaving him to carry the can. Gary goes to prison, but a year later another group member Danny gets the group members together as he is concerned about Gary who has agreed to take part in an experiment in an isolated laboratory to reduce his sentence. They decide to rescue him, but soon find themselves under threat from unseen forces, and start to die one by one, trapped like lab rats in a cageThis film, I must say, is pretty bad. It all starts off well enough, but slides rapidly down hill from the moment the group enter the mysterious lab. There is little cohesion as far as plot is concerned, and a good cast have to fight against an increasingly ludicrous story line and some terrible dialogue.Its not all bad. The special effects are very good, and as mentioned before the cast all perform admirably. Stephen Lord is hilarious as psychotic ex marine Spook who is allegic to hippies. Leo Bill is also very good as Danny who has a hidden agenda of his own. Katherine Towne is annoying as Buddhist bore HelenStill, its not boring, and I kept watching hoping that it would all make perfect sense in the end. It didnt. A must see for lovers of bad films 2 out of 5

I really think it's time Amazon that you allowed reviewers who are probably buyers also, to be able to 'zero-rate' films which are not even worthy of a single star, just like this nonsense- To me, the story made absolutely NO SENSE,was confusing and complete drivel from start to finish. The acting was amateurish, completely unprofessional. Why is it that an American always has to be in the pack? Why is it that their character always has to turn every situation into a joke even when it's totally inappropriate? How on earth Mel Brown ever got cast in this tripe is one of lifes little mysteries.A boring and irrelevant load of rubbish.

The first 50 minutes of this is actually really enjoyable but then it just decends into the predictable and then onto the ludicrous. Tom Hardy's performance is great but I doubt he is capable of anything less.

A pretty good sci-fi thriller with lots of twists and turns - could stand a remake perhaps with a big budget? The undoubted star of the piece was Tom Hardy, watch his space, with a ballsy part played by Scary Spice!
