I had to take it off because it kept dropping to my ankle. (See photo of my bridesmaid taking it off me in public because it kept sliding down!) I just slipped away shortly before the garter toss and put it back on. I wish it would have stayed on the entire time, but it wasn't a huge deal. This is surprising because I have pretty thick thighs. It was good if I was standing still, but as soon as I started walking it would slide. I got the smallest size possible, am 126 lbs and I have relatively thick thighs for my size. I ended up finishing the walk down the aisle with both garters around my ankle.
