A nicely presented compact hardback, this volume showcases the work of 13 artists – some very well-known on the Low-brow scene, others just emerging.It`s a fairly international selection, though American (and American-based) artists dominate; the book is in colour throughout and the reproduction quality is excellent; texts are bilingual (English/French) and aside from a short intro provide a brief profile on each artist.Those familiar with the genre will know what to expect – a mix of the cutesy with the disturbing, often meticulously rendered and mostly Neo-Surrealist in approach – dark, morbidly playful, endlessly inventive.Do look at the sample pictures provided above in the product description.A great wee volume for fans of this kind of work.
