It extends the displays, not just mirrors them like a splitter does. This is what you need if you want to have to separate outputs to two different displays. If you want the same exact image on two screens, then just get a splitter cable. Review: Does not work! - Did not work! Only one input of the two would recognize the attached monitor. Not a good product.

Perfect
This did exactly what I needed it to do: Make two displays out of one DisplayPort output. It extends the displays, not just mirrors them like a splitter does. This is what you need if you want to have to separate outputs to two different displays. If you want the same exact image on two screens, then just get a splitter cable.

Does not work!
Did not work! Only one input of the two would recognize the attached monitor. Not a good product.

Just plug in and away you go. Very simple to use.
