YELLOW WAX

I use this on my glasses to prevent fogging when using a mask and it is a significant improvement over the Catcrap I was using before, and it smells good to boot! If you're not happy with this product for your glasses it's a great natural car wax.Three years later, and now I have more experience with this as an auto wax. I've used all kinds of cheap and expensive polymers and silicone products. In my opinion this tops all of them. It is not a "cleaner/wax" so you must start with a very clean car. Once you do that and put two thin coats of Yellow Wax on, you get a coating that, in my experience, surpasses all the others for repelling water and having a noticeable glossy/waxy feel to it, longer than any of the others. I continue to use it on my glasses too, and in my experience it helps keep glasses scratch free much longer.

Nothing to dislike. Not easy to apply or remove, but not hard either. Just average. It isn't very slick to the touch, that's probably the biggest downside. Not that you should be toucbing the paint anyway, but who doesn't. Despite that, it has great water behavior and the gloss is excellent. I have a gloss meter and this wax tests as high as any paste wax I've measured, I'm talking high 90s consistently.

I've been a automotive finish enthusiasts for 30+yrs. I've used a bunch of different waxes in that time and frankly 99% of the time you get exactly what you pay for. And diffrent waxes tend to be engineered for different strengths. IE cheaper spray waxes tend to be quick and easy with short lasting results. More expensive paste tends to require more skill and effort to apply but the results last longer with a much deeper gloss.Enter Yellow Wax Paste.Pros: Gloss comparable to $60+ waxes. Avoid coating your handsThe wax is an outstanding value. It behaves like a much more expensive wax. And even for a paste its not an overwhelming task. There's a learning curve. If you apply and buff too soon it will haze again requiring a second buff. If you wait to long the wax will set hard and can be very difficult to remove. Let's be honest everything including this wax leaves scratches on your vehicles finish. It's how those scratches are arranged and how fine they are that brings in the final result. With proper application this wax gives amazing results. I clay and wax every 3months. I do not use a mechanical buffer. I do not use a mechanical applicator. I do sponge foam apply thin coats (2) and remove with a micro fiber. I hand buff with a new flannel polish cloth. The car pictured is 4yrs old and garage kept. It does sit outside during the work day. As your viewing it the application is 1mo old, maintained with quick detailer/micro fiber and buffed with flannel.

I bought this looking for a good pinball wax which you don't want a cleaner wax with any sort of polish or compound in it. For pinball, you also want a high percentage of carnauba as that gives a harder coat that holds up longer in the machine. I have found that most waxes don't give enough information to make much of an educated decision when buying which is kind of annoying, but I gave this stuff a try. The wax being yellow could mean it's got a higher percentage of carnauba, it went on very easily and a little went a long way. It also wiped off easily, which is kind of controversial, you wouldn't expect this from a high percentage carnauba wax. YMMV, but I have no complaints so far.

I was looking for a replacement for Johnson's Wax. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality (end results) and the nice odor. My wife objected when I started waxing. Then said that isn't the same stuff; it smells nice. I creates a hard, slick finish. I am using it on wood, so I can't comment on luster. It seems to repel water better than the Johnson's, which means it is penetrating and filling the pores better than Johnson's.

This wax is by far better than any other wax I have ever tried. It works well and leaves a wet look shine that protects for months. My car lives outside. The enemies are the sun and an oak tree with sap. Also it does not make me sick like any synthetic chemical wax. Thanks for a great product that does not cost a fortune! Spend a hundred bucks on designer wax if you can afford it by all means.

I needed to buy pure Carnauba wax for non-automotive application and on the label it lists chemicals that are added to the product. The label indicates that it is made with pure Carnauba wax, but it is not the sole ingredient.
