I purchased this bulb just for fun, and, to be quite honest, to fill the price quota for free shipping. I thought it would be nice for when I’m reading or listening to music or snuggling with my SO. But I didn’t expect it to be as atmospheric as it is!I opened the box to find a bulb that was just as polished and professional-looking as the picture on the Amazon page. I thought maybe they had photoshopped it to make it look especially good, but it really was quite nice to look at. I admired it, and its slick remote, for a moment before I went to the darkest room in my house to try it out. Once I unscrewed the existing bulb and replaced it with my new one, it did take me a minute to figure it out, only because it will not turn on just because the lamp is switched on, you do have to hit the “ON” button on the remote as well. This took me, oh, 30 seconds, tops? And once I had it figured out I had a BALL!The colors are so bright and saturated, and overall rather pleasing! My favorites are the Red, Fushia, and Purple, but all of them are lovely. The bulb itself is dimmable and can be customized to the brightness you desire. There are also four different settings to flip through all the colors. Flash and Strobe flick through the colors without fade, ideal for a party setting or flashy holiday display. Fade and Smooth are a much softer fade through the colors, more suitable for relaxing or setting the mood.My only criticism is a small one, and it is that it’s not terribly bright. It certainly has enough brightness to add a secondary, atmospheric touch to any room, or create lovely nighttime décor. But even at its brightest setting I would be unlikely to use it as a primary lighting source.Overall there is just something fun about this bulb. I've been using it for the better part of a month and I quite like it! It adds a touch of creativity to any décor, a dash of fun to any party, and some extra pleasure to the relaxing moments in life. I would buy this bulb again!

The media could not be loaded. This is a really cool item. Like other products, this Lighting EVER is a multi-color LED bulb capable of working in a regular lamp socket. However, it is priced more aggressively than most competing models. While the trade off is a slightly lower output and fewer features, this bulb still has plenty of features to hold even the shortest of attention spans. I have a pet rabbit and rabbits have really short attention spans. She stares at this thing as if she was watching a live feed of an alien spaceship touching down on the Whitehouse lawn. If it entertains her, that says something.-----------------------DESIGN, FEATURES, SPECS, & PRODUCT FUNCTIONSThe core design of this LE bulb is a 5-watt color-changing LED inside of an E27 medium screw base (that base is your standard screw size used by most lamps) and in the form of the A19 shape (so more or less if you can put a regular 40 watt incandescent in your light then this LE bulb will fit perfectly.) The LED is equivalent to about 30 watts, BUT, this is not a direct comparison because output will vary based on what color you are using and it is difficult to give precise approximations between incandescent and LED due to the inherent differences. It does not have the output that is comparable to incandescent. However, it has significantly more output than the color LED bulbs of just a few years back.While some products like these can be controlled via Android/iOS and even via Wifi, this bulb uses a battery-operated remote (that is included with purchase along with a lithium battery pre-installed.) This setup DOES have memory: that is, when you turn the bulb off using the remote of the lamp switch, the setting you were last using IS saved and the bulb starts at this setting the next time it is turned on.Unlike some other products, this bulb does NOT have the ability to use custom colors. This is a trade-off for the price-savings over other models. With that said, you still have plenty of colors. Beyond the standard red-red, blue-blue, and green-green primary colors, there are 12 additional colors that are the byproducts of mixing the primaries. One remote is capable of running multiple bulbs.-----------------------WHAT I LIKEThere are quite a few products like these, but you have probably noticed that most color-changing LED bulbs that are highly rated cost a LOT more. While some alternatives have outstanding features and slightly higher output, many are in the $35-45+ range. That is too expensive for many potential buyers. Here we have a reasonably priced alternative that still works well, has plenty of great features, and does not sacrifice product quality/reliability. Prospective buyers should compare the features of this product to the features of others. In some cases, you may find the features of the more expensive options to justify the price. In other cases, you may not.I also like the remote layout. It is simple but easy to use, and it is super compact. It came with a battery and I consider that to be a huge plus given you cannot use the bulb's color functions without the remote. Additionally, the battery used is a CR2025 lithium button cell. This type of battery will last a VERY long time, and them including it is even nicer considering that this is a relatively expensive battery, so that a few bucks you don't have to spend.The colors provided are quite nice. I especially like the different shades of blue that are cool/soft colors since I find them easy on the eyes when I am doing certain kinds of work.Finally, one of the concerns with these color-changing LED bulbs is the brightness aspect. If the bulb is too dim, it is more of a novelty than anything else. I am happy to say that I DO believe that this bulb still outputs enough light for functionality, at least for my applications. I am coming to like working with a color light on my desk more than a whiter light. Bear in mind that is personal preference.-----------------------A NOTE ON BRIGHTNESS, OUTPUT, AND COLOR TEMPERATUREWhile I personally find the colors and output to suit my personal preferences, it is important to understand that this bulb is only a 30-watt equivalent to an incandescent, and it can NOT replicate incandescent colors. If you absolutely must have a bulb capable of replicating those colors and brightness, this is probably not going to work for your needs and the more expensive color-changing LEDs that allow you to select your own color temperatures are probably with the extra money. Even then, color-changing LED bulbs are currently maxing at an incandescent equivalent around the 40-50 watt range (as of mid-2015.) A few years back this was a lot less. In a few years from now, it will certainly be a lot more.-----------------------WHAT I DO NOT LIKEThe only thing I do not like about this product is that there are no color settings in the daylight range other than pure white. The yellow color is more of a yellow-green than it is yellow. Some other color-changing LED bulbs have presets for soft white colors, which the LE bulb is not capable of.-----------------------CONCLUSIONOverall, I am very happy with the LE color-changing LED bulb. This is a great alternative to the more expensive color-changing bulbs without a big sacrifice in product quality. While it does not have as many features or as high an output as some other models do, it still is plenty capable. If the available features and output will suit your personal needs, this is a great choice.

I don't know what anyone expects from the darker colours. A navy blue or deep purple bulb can only be so bright. Especially if using a lampshade. Yes those are more for "ambient" purposes... although if you put three of them in a ceiling lamp at full strength i'd expect it to shed a decent amount of light. I have just one bulb in our livingroom ceiling fan, and the paler hues give plenty of light at 75+% strength. There is a white setting if you want the room super bright. We love the dimmed aqua in the bathroom.In any colour, the adjustable dimming feature is fantastic. I've always wanted to install dimmer switches on all of our lights and now i don't have to. Huge savings of time and money. And the remote control is extra convenient. I feel so lazy and luxurious being able to change the lighting without having to get up from my seat or out of bed. Too soon to comment on longevity, we've been using them at least 10 hours per day for one month, but i'll update later.Only issue, not a big one, is one of the remotes has a couple of buttons that don't work; the 'up' button on the dimmer, and one of the blue shades. But the bulbs come with two remotes so this isn't a huge problem. And we will get extra remotes when we order more bulbs, which we certainly will. Never want to be without these again.
