Great product!
I bought these to get around very poor flow from one of the newer style of gas cans and they seem to work great. Easy install but if you install on a can with gas in it already, you should be careful that plastic drill shavings don't fall into the can when drilling out the hole. Ideally, you'd install these on a new can that is empty. That way, any drill cuttings that make their way into the can could just be dumped out. They seem to not leak but I haven't gone to much length in testing that.

Nobody has a 31/64" bit
Just make it a 1/2", you know, a common size that comes with every bit set.Anyway it works great, might need 2 for a larger can to let enough air in.

Big impact from little product
Man is it annoying to have a plastic gas can that doesn't have one of these!!! Why would they even make them?? I stumbled across these by accident and had to have them the minute I saw them. No more glugging and splashing. Now putting them in a gas can you've had a while is a bit of a pain because when you drill the hole you WILL get plastic bits in the gas can and you don't want to dump them in your mower, car, snowblower... I have an air compressor that I used to blow the bits out but if there's still some leftover fuel in there (and there always was no matter how hard I tried) it can get a little messy (don't be looking in the can when you blast the air....) - If the can was dry you could probably shake the bits out.The instructions say "You will have to drill a 31/64" (one size below 1/2") hole into the can, then push the vent into the hole" and that is accurate but they are hard to push in - a bit of Vaseline helped a lot. Trying to tap them in with a hammer resulted in breaking the vent cap. These even help smooth out fuel delivery from today's new newfangled (new is NOT improved) safety spout cans!!

Let it flow!
How easy and inexpensive, no more fiddling with trying to manage incoming air with outgoing fuel. Pays for itself in un-spilled fuel.
