Awesome blade, for price
Ultimate semi- budget knife. Had had dozens, if not more, of Tek-Force knives, and nothing wrong with them if you come to terms with what they are. Budgett, semi- poorly made knives, no bother if lost, plastic handles, workable, but mayLast 4 days in a true survival situation. This Gerber you can count on for years, and no shame pulling it out at a true knife afficionados gathering. I plan on upgrading soon. Awesome blade, for price,, but now that I've seen quality, I'm going for an $80 to 100 dollar masterpiece. Normally I give my spares to the scouts or similar groups, but this one I will dang hold on to.. Only problem is a bit hard to open one handed, but was told by the experts not to oil or loosen, It'll work itself out.. Any thoughts? Otherwise best knife I've purchased on Amazon, or any folder anywhere for that matter. 2 thumbs up and it is only mid-level. Can't imagine a true high quality Gerber. I'll find out soon. Thanks for great product at reasonable price. Again. 2 thumbs up

Great knife for low price
Good quality for the money. A little back story on this knife. The first knife that came was defective because the frame lock was a bit to long and therefore made it too difficult to release with thumb had to use a screwdriver to release it. I returned the first knife and then asked for a replacement and the frame lock releases much easier. I must admit that there is a bit of finesse and thumb strength needed to release the frame lock and fold down the knife. This is because the part of the frame lock where you put your thumb to release it protrudes only slightly outside of the knife frame itself which does not give your thumb enough surface area to push on the frame lock. But I believe this is a good thing because it reduces possibility of accidently pushing the release to easily and causing the knife to fold down unintentionally and causing injury. The knife is very sharp so it will handle most cutting jobs. Very well designed and sturdy.

Pretty good
I bought this as a replacement for an assisted opening Gerber knife. Well, not as great as that one. It’s still pretty good after you work it for a while. I like the fact that it’s plenty sharp though.

RE: HARD TO OPEN complaints
The media could not be loaded. I was nervous buying this knife due to the complaints about being hard to open, but tried it for $14 (What did I have to lose?) When it arrived, it was nearly impossible to open, but I discovered it was how I was holding it. The catch/release is part of the exterior of this slim knife - I was pressing the lock into the knife when trying to release, so the harder I pushed with one hand, the harder it was to open. I just had to shift my grip lower and BANG - this thing opens like a dream. I would suspect that others having this issue are doing the same thing. I’ve attached a video to explain. All told, this is a great knife at a great price.

Good knife for the price point
Looks great, good knife for the price point. Sharp and capable for EDC. Initially it was difficult to open with just one hand as it was very stiff and thumb stud felt uncomfortable. After using for a few days it did become much easier to open with one hand, although I still need to close using both hands

Lasts Forever
Love this knife. I got my first Swagger knife 10 years ago (unfortunately almost took it through TSA where they made me throw it away...). Bought another one and I am glad to see the quality is still there. Just like with any pocket knife I have, I always use a little bit of WD-40 after unboxing which makes it extremely easy to open and close. I can open, unlock and close all with just one hand with ease which is a big reason why I like this knife so much. If you're looking for a cheap every day knife that will hold an edge, this is the knife for you.

Poorly built knife! Ladies don't buy!!!
THIS KNIFE IS TERRIBLE. I cannot see this knife being useful in a life or death situation. I honestly can't get the knife open, even with 2 hands (and I am not a dianty lady) AND when I do get it open, I CANT shut the thing. I would love to sit and "break it in" by opening it a hundred times but my hands hurt after testing it 5 times. The thumb knobs are in a very odd placement. The side clip already had some of the chrome chipped off. Only good thing about it was that it came sharp (like knives are supposed to).I already own the 'Gerber Swagger Knife, Assisted Opening [31-001709]' which seems to be much better in the opening (still tough) and closing mechanisms. I won't be buyimg another Gerber knife.
