I'm gonna have this a long time!
I just got this knife today and I love it. Some people have said this is not a sharp knife and I disagree. I decided to Test out this new knife which I made dinner for the kiddos. I cut into an avocado and about sliced my opposite hand off. The point of this knife cut through the avocado skin without any noticeable resistance and I was not prepared for that. I also used it to open plastic packages and, again, it was so sharp I wasn't prepared to not feel any resistance while opening packages. I'm handy in the kitchen and it has never occured to me that a knife might be too sharp for the kitchen but I would say that about this knife.I was perfectly able to open this with one hand. I just use the knobs to push the blade out a little and flick my wrist and it's ready to use. I'm also able to unlock it with one hand and push the back of the blade against my belly to fold it back into place. The handle is not just plastic. The orange accents are durable plastic but the gray parts are a grippy rubber. The fact that this knife folds and has a clip makes it ideal for me. I camped earlier this week and had to make tent stakes out of twigs. I used my BG ultimate survivor knife ( the one with the fire starter and whistle...) and found it not very convenient as I constantly wished for a convenient spot on my person to stow the knife when I wasn't using it here and there. I love that knife and will always have it around but this knife will work better for me when I'm standing around working on a project ( like, while camping ) and there isn't a table nearby to constantly set things down and pick them up again. If you're expecting a knife that will help you win a war or build an entire spec home for you, then you'll need to buy something else designed for that sort of thing. But if you're looking for a great little utility knife to carry around that will be a great tool for little tasks around the house, job site, or camp site, then thus is a great choice.

Much better than I expected!
Great knife! Light weight & very sharp! Smooth open, feels great in the hand. The pocket clip is deep enough so knife does not stick out of pocket - very concealed - you only see the orange top of knife.I didn't expect much at this price and thought it may be a little gimmicky due to Bear Grylls. But was pleasantly surprised as to the quality. The blade was very sharp right out of the package. The best thing (besides the sharp blade) is it weighs almost nothing. Great Every Day Carry (EDC) knife. Perfect size for EDC - small enough not to get in the way in your pocket yet large enough for most tasks. This is a great knife for me (older adult).... but would also be a great knife for a Boy Scout or other youth that likes to camp and be outdoors.I thought the orange may be a little hokey, but I actually like it. Will make it easier to find if camping. I would highly recommend this knife. The price is excellent for the quality you get. You won't be disappointed.I also got the Bear Grylls smaller pocket knife (from another site for $8) and was also pleasantly surprised with that one as well... very sharp, very light weight, fits in the small pocket of my jeans (no clip). Will put in my tackle box when going fishing.EDIT 3/23/13: After a few months of owning this knife, I still really like it. But I find that I do not reach for it for my EDC. I think it is the Orange color. Which is a good color if camping and you misplace it - easy to spot... but something about that orange knife top peaking out of my jean pocket line keeps me from grabbing this knife for EDC... but I do use it around the house.

Good, but not Great
There are knives you get because they are awesome and then there are knives you get just because. I thought that this was a "just because" knife, but I'm starting to change my mind. For an EDC knife, the BG folder is not bad. Nice blade that is pretty sharp out of the box and holds a good edge. At first, I did not like the grip; it felt too plastic-like. But after having just had a bad experience with another knife, I came back to this one. On second thought, it feels pretty good. The grip is comfortable and well-balanced, and that's exactly what we want in a knife that will be pulled out of our pocket several times a day.Like many other reviews, however, my knife does not open particularly well and I am going to have to do some work on it to get it to open better. Part of the problem is that it came with the blade not seated well between the sides of the grips. So if you love Bear Grylls, by all means get this. Even if you don't, this isn't a bad choice. I almost gave mine away; now I'm pretty glad that I didn't.

Pretty cool multi edged knife.
I bought this to have a decent knife to keep in the car for occasional use. It is very comfortable to hold and use, and while I am not a fan of serrations it does a fine job at cutting. It did not come razor sharp but, it came to life after a few minutes on a 600 grit stone. It does hold an edge pretty well for budget steel and after using it extensively I have only had to touch up the blade a couple of times. The titanium coating does wear off rather easily in my opinion, and I am not sure of the steel in the blade, so I have made a habit of keeping a light coat of oil on it after use. I have used the knife to cut up loads of card board boxes at work, as well as cutting off the plastic binding straps of boxes. I have cut up lots of sticks and twigs, and small pruning chores around the garden. Overall I think it is a fine budget folder that anyone could use especially for scouting tasks. It being a Bear Grylls product, people automatically think of survival. But in reality while the build quality is decent enough for $20 it is certainly not robust enough to be considered a good choice for an emergency survival scenario. If you are looking for a good (not great) quality folding knife, and you happen to be a Bear Grylls fan like I am, I think it is a nice knife to have and use. These knives do come in a fine edged version that does not have the 1/2 serrated blade if you prefer but, to be honest the combo edge is a useful feature if you plan to cut alot of rope, para cord, twine, etc.
