I was easily able to install this in my sons 2004 BMW 330i E46. Did not need to remove the alternator, just air clear housing. I purchased new washers made of copper, worked perfectly. No leaks after 2 weeks of use. Old hose was original BMW and leaked at the hose to banjo fitting crimp, lower end. Need a spot flashlight to see it well.

Shipping was quick and the part fit perfectly. My only caution is about using the Amazon parts finder. For this application it gave me the wrong part number. For some parts like this, the part that fits depends on the month the car was manufactured in. I had to go to realoem.com to verify my VIN to confirm this is the correct part number. Because of this, the Amazon parts finder told me that this would not fit my 1997 BMW 328i. Since I confirmed it would fit on realoem.com, I purchased this anyways and it fit perfectly. If you are looking for this part, make sure to confirm the correct part number on another site outside of Amazon first, then search by part number on Amazon and buy that part, you'll have to ignore the message from Amazon that says it won't fit. Unfortunately the Amazon parts finder doesn't work all of the time and it would have caused a lot of headaches if I would have purchased the part it suggested I purchase rather than doing the extra research to find the right part number.

Hasn't leaked yet pretty happy with it. would like 1/2 - 3/4 inch or 13 - 20 mm more length so it's not pulled so tight. Will update if it fails.

This is literally took 10 minute install or less with the uro vanos line hgihly recommended it. But Before this I bought the cheaper vanos hose thinking I was saving money. It took me 1 hour to install because I had to stretch it and after installing the line oil started leaking like crazy. Do yourself a favor buy this line instead of the cheaper one. I learn my lesson.

Quality replacement part. Fit perfectly on my BMW E46 M54 and addressed the oil leak I had. The VANOS oil line tends to start sweating oil which covers the oil pressure sender and causes the red oil pressure light to blink erratically at low RPM.

I had no problems with installing this part to replace the original that started seeping oil in my e46 BWM. A few months on, everything is still working fine.

The install is easy and takes 20 minutes if you know what you’re doing. Two bolts and you are done so be carefull with the breather pipe next to the URO oil line because it breaks easily. This was used on a 2001 BMW e46 325CI car and it stopped the oil leak on the spot. Make sure you buy (4) new washers to replace the old ones otherwise you may have to deal with leaks again.
