Fits well, covers my ears and has an opening for my braid. Perfect for a chilly morning bike ride under my helmet.

size matters
I am disappointed with the new Pearl Izumi scull cap. I still have one of the same brand I purchased several years ago that fits better. New advertising said one size fits all, but I think they should make different sizes. The current model is smaller and doesn't cover my ears as well. I usually use a size 7 and 3/4 hat.

Way too small, more like Barrier Hair Net
It's not really a skull cap but more like a hair net. It's way too small.

Not sure why you'd buy this over the Thermal version
The Barrier skull cap, headband, and balaclava from Pearl Izumi confuse me. The barrier fabric only covers a small strip across the forehead -- other than that it's the exact same product as the thermal version, but it costs $5 more. I was buying this in hopes that it'd help keep the wind off my ears, but it performs no differently than the thermal version. My forehead doesn't get cold as it's covered by my helmet. Pearl Izumi rarely releases a product I don't like, but I just don't have a use for this one.
