Incredible value. I ordered the apparently used one at the Amazon discount. What arrived appear to be a brand new watch. It fit perfectly and was very comfortable. I bought it because I had wrist surgery recently and the area is very sore and I can’t wear a watch with the buckle. This fit the bill perfectly. I work in a petrochemical facility and I need a tough watch. If you’re looking for a cheap and tough watch, this is definitely gonna work.

Outstanding design! Large, informative display comes in real handy for those of us whose eye-sight isn't what it used to be. Very clever, good looking, comfortable Velcro band is infinitely adjustable for a perfect fit every time -- not too tight, not too loose. You cannot do that with any other type of band that I am aware of. My wrist doesn't always stay the same size. It swells and shrinks due to various influences. This becomes very evident when I put on a watch with an unforgiving link band that fit fine yesterday, but today the watch wants to crawl up and down my arm and do loops on my wrist! What's the deal with this?!? Well, that usually occurs early in the morning, but after 15-20 minutes, the watch is usually staying in place. I figure it is a combination of sweat, increased blood flow (heart rate), and things of that nature that make it seem at times as though a onery gremlin (is there any other kind?) snuck into my bedroom while I slept and inserted a link just to annoy me. All this to make the point that the Velcro band is a real pleasure because it doesn't have X amount of links or holes, so it always fits perfectly regardless of my tempermental wrist. And because it is black, I believe this helps the band hide its true identity as one that uses Velcro. Terrific looking, non-rotating, acrylic bezel. The acrylic neither sounds nor looks like cheap plastic, making it a superb material choice by Armitron! Water-resistent to an impressive 10 atmospheres (330 feet). Feature-laden, including alarm, lap, chronograph, stopwatch, countdown, option for dual time zones as well as military time, and innovative EL technology that allows for easy viewing day or night. Great auto-off night light that illuminates only the digits rather than the entire face. First class fit and finish. Keeps great time. An incredible bargain for under $30 in most cases. More than just a home run --- this is a grand slam!!

all the other reviews are on target when it comes to good display, ease of use, and the like. the watch is a pleasure, when it works. i have bought three of them now; they have a life span of about 18 months because the plastic which forms the arch through which the band passes takes about 18 months to fail. it just wears thin and breaks. when that happens, the band no longer holds the watch on that side and the watch just flaps fecklessly about like a one-winged flamingo. because the fault is in the watch itself, there is no way to find another band to attach to it.if you are willing to replace the thing every 18 months, buy this design.if you want your watch to be useful for longer than that, don't.

I've had several Armitron watches and have been pleased in general with all of them. I wanted one with an easy to read large numeral display and this model meets that requirement. The one I received maintains the time accurately. I highly recommend this watch for someone who wants an easy to read display that is not overly cluttered, and a durable watch with a strong band.

My husband likes this watch so much that when it finally died after YEARS, he wanted the exact watch again. I was thrilled to find it still available!It is a great value for the money. Accurate. Water and sweat resistant. Takes a pretty good daily beating. Numbers are easy enough to read, etc.

I'm very pleased with this watch. For the price, it's superb. It's very comfortable (don't even notice I'm wearing it most of the time) and it looks solid and unpretentious. I did replace the watchband, though.

This watch has all the features that meet my needs, such as several alarms that are loud enough. I was surprised to find that it has several options on the lap timer. I am however confounded by the Data feature, and this watch did not come with an instruction manual, which is a big disappointment. That disappointment however, does not diminish the beauty of the watch in all of its features. The first two features I shopped for where a large sized dial for easier reading, and waterproof. I will admit however, that the add says the band is a slip on band. This led me to believe that it would slip over onto your wrist like a stretch band, and that had my interest as well. I was wrong, as it is a Velcro band, but I can live with that. I wear it in the shower and bath, with no problem. I highly recommend this watch for those who are seeking the features I mentioned, even if it doesn't come with an instruction manual. I intend to google for it.???

It loses 30 seconds over the course of a month. I keep having to re set the time every month.I bought another one in case the first one was just defective but no, the second watch is doing it too.I'm keeping the watch since I can't find one with a huge display like this one has.So, for losing 30 seconds I give it 3 stars instead of 5.
