Description

Polypropylene mesh is approximately 1/3 mm thick with 1 mm strand spacings and approximately 70% void volume. This large percentage of void volume provides a highly permeable support for incubating membranes and gels. Flow-Mesh protects filter or gel from tearing, bending and folding while being inserted into a confined space such as a hybridization bag or a roller bottle. Mesh also provides support during incubation with nucleic acid probes, equilibration buffers, etc. in an incubation bottle, bag, tray or other container. Both sides of a gel or membrane are assured constant solution access which improves the uniformity of hybridizations and binding assays.
