**Q: Will this switch work on a 1989 mitzubichi montero?  It looks almost identical.**
A: It look the same, but connection are different, the plug also is different, unless... if you have a multimeter you can find all switching  points in order to make it work on your Mitsubishi, but that means a lot of work... but is up to you...
