Is the liquid stuff supposed to go into the bottom of it once you twist the top off?

The liquid bait should remain in the clear upper portion of the station.

Seller: I used these traps the last two days. Found dead ants. Aren't they supposed to go back to the colony?

Good question! They do go back to the colony to share the bait, and they also come back to the bait because they like it so much. It's not unusual to see dead ants in or near the bait station. Depending on the size of your colony, you should stop seeing ants within 2 days to 2 weeks.

Can these be used effectively outdoors?

If you could put them in a spot where they wouldn't get rained on and bait washed away I wouldn't see why not, though I have not used them that way. And probably more so with ants as they could be put by a nest or trail. Roaches I would think not unless you had obvious roaches running around outside that would find it and eat the poison.

Are there 4 baits meaning there are 2 parts to each station and it comes with 4 stations or 2 ant and 2 roach?
