It is white in the jar, but when applied, it's pearly creamy white and very very translucent. When dried, it's creamy white in day light. In the dark when exposed to light it's reflective. Effectively it causes the base color of whatever it's applied to, to become reflective. We used it to illuminate the edges of steps in our back yard where it's dimly lit. We painted the step edges white and applied this over it.

Can this be used with an airbrush?

The largest particle is 60 microns. Depending on the nozzle this should work well with an airbrush

can i paint over black vinyl letters and will the letters still be black

The paint is semi transparent. Slightly milky on black if you only use a light coat

Will this last on brake calipers or surfaces that get hot?

Its acrylic so it should once it has dried and cured. May want to use a primer first.
