STOP USING PLASTIC STRAWS!! These are great. I thought they'd end up being incredibly hard to clean, but they're not at all. They come with two scrubby brushes that are perfect for them, so just don't lose them. I use my straws with smoothies in the morning and even after sitting all day and drying, it only takes a little bit of hot water soaking and a minute of scrubbing to get them completely clean. I'll never go back to plastic straws again. Just be careful with these, cause it really hurts if you hit your tooth. And I am a little paranoid to use them in a moving car, in case I have to stop unexpectedly and I don't want a metal straw getting jammed through my mouth. Other than that, these are perfect! lol

I have two little ones, and as most kids do, they love to chew all the straws that come with their sippy cups. The straws that come with the cups we buy don't last long in our household, and end up looking like a chew toy. I don't know what it is about toddler teeth, it's like puppy teeth, those tiny little suckers do some serious damage so your typical plastic straws don't have a chance in hell of surviving longer than a couple of days. I hated buying new sippy cups as it is wasteful and expensive and I didn't like the idea of buying plastic disposable straws (it's not environmentally friendly, you're wasting money, plastic will kill your kids, bisphenol is scary, it causes cancer!, you know, stuff like that) so these were a great alternative. They are not that hard to clean and stainless steel means less chance for bacterial growth. I also like the bent ones so it's easy for your child to drink from (but these straight ones are perfect for my 4 year old). The first time my daughter used it, I could tell she was confused... "why am I unable to destroy these straws with my teeth? I am normally stronger than these things called straws" is probably what she was thinking. HA! Mom = 1, Toddler = 0. If you have a biter, buy these, you will not be disappointed.

As a straw aficionado, I am quite picky about my straws. These are amazing - I wish I'd bought them years ago. I love that they are better for the environment versus using disposable straws. They are really a nice width (a tad wider than McDonald straws), and a nice length. I really had my doubts how I'd feel about using a stainless steel straw, but I'm very happy with them. They are nice and cool and smooth, and I actually think they make my drink a bit cooler over a plastic straw. I'm hooked! I love being able to throw them in the dishwasher! My only complaint is I think I am going to need to buy more!!!!

The straws are great, and the set comes with two cleaning brushes. Excellent quality. My only dissapointment was the excessive packaging. I was buying these to lessen my use of plastic on the planet. While I don't like plastic to touch my food and drink, I also don't want to use a lot of plastic and create a lot of plastic waste. Unfortunately, these straws were INDIVIDUALLY wrapped in a narrow plastic straw shaped bag, and then the set of 8 was inteserted into a plastic zipper bag. They were shipped using plastic air filed pillow packaging. There was a LOT of unnecessary plastic waste. How about a simple paper wrapper guys?

I love these straws! I feel so good knowing each place I go that I refuse a piece of plastic I am doing my tiny part to spare marine and wildlife and contribution to unnecessary trash on this planet. HUGE unknowing bonus!!! It cools your drinks even further as it passes through the metal! And they are SO EASY to clean. I haven't even used the cleaning wand yet. I legit just blow air through my straw at the end of my smoothie or drink and it cleans right out. I just keep it in my purse at all times and wash it every few days. I can't believe how simple it is! I only need one, and I've given the rest away!! Please consider this or another reusable glass or steel straw product. The only way they will stop making harmful products is of people stop buying them. How many thousands of straws do you think you've one time used in your life and thrown out?!?! unfortunate but true.

Used these for plastic water glasses with lid & straw , straw replacements! My only concern is that I could chip my tooth if I was too eager to get a sip of water real quick. I mean, who really uses a metal straw? However these won't break, and if you've ever had a plastic pint cup with a top and plastic straw, you know those straws don't last too long!

I bought a set of these for myself, because I've heard so much about the tiny pieces of plastic interfering so much in the environment. I love these things! They're stainless steel, and very strong. I use one a day for my morning smoothie, rinsing the straw after use. Once they're all used, I put them in a bowl and wash them with the little brush that's included in the package. Easy to keep clean, and I enjoy thinking I'm doing a tiny little thing for the environment. I'm considering throwing one in my purse, to use when I'm out.

I thought I was getting a good deal when I purchased these. These straws are NOT WIDE. I have bought many reusable straws from different manufacturers and these are thiner then some of the standard drinking straws. They also tasted strongly metallic making it impossible to enjoy your drink. Save your money unless they are to be used for some type of craft or something.. they are otherwise useless. Invest in QUALITY stainless steel or glass straws instead.
