The fire will change from blue to purple, pink and green. I have a large fire pit, about 4 feet across and I bought 6 packets. I placed them spaced out around the fire and they looked pretty cool, but I was hoping for more it looked a little sparse.If you want your whole fire to change color like the image shown, you will need a bunch. If you have a large 4 foot fire pit like me, you will want at least 12 packets. Smaller fire rings, I'd use at least 6.**Don't cook food on the fire for awhile after use, if at all, and stay out of the smoke. The warning on the package states that the chemicals used are pretty dangerous to be inhaled or ingested.
