Great buy!
I waited to do a review. We purchased in December as a gift for our son- it is almost May and this has been a great purchase. He truly enjoys this bike. His friends and cousins love it too! We have had a great experience.

Great bike for basic training before investing in a gas unit.
Bought for my soon to be 7 year old for Christmas 2014. This arrived very quickly and was a breeze to assemble. Per the instructions I charged over night and then tried it out myself to make sure there was no issues with "Santa's toy". I'm 200 pounds and it carried me fine for the short time I rode it. I was more concerned about the brakes working properly, and the disc brakes front and rear do just fine. I then hid it and let it charge till Christmas day. When my son saw it, he flipped out and was so happy. I also looked at the Honda CRF50 but this bike was $350, the Honda was $1100! I figured let's see how his skills develop before buying hi a gas powered bike. My son took to it just fine and I predict this MX 500 filling the gap between a real gas bike for the next 1-2 years. I plan to skip the CRF50 and go straight to the CRF 70 in a couple years. This MX500 is very solid and so far has been rode several hours with no problems. By the time the battery indicates low on the handle bar monitor, my son is ready for a break. It charges back to full charge in a couple hours and off he goes again. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to expose their child to two wheels without the gas motor investment. I really believe it'll bridge the gap between the intimidation of a gas bike and make it less scary once the child switches to gas. Love it. Nothing but good things to say so far... ST in NC.

Best gifts Ever!
I bought two of these at the same time for my 10 year old and 11 year old sons. They are small for their age, but the bikes are definitely not too large. The funny thing is that the bikes also didn't seem too small when I couldn't resist and took one for a spin in the backyard. I'm 135lbs and 5'9" tall and the bike handled me just fine. My sons love these bikes. Everyday when they get home from school they ride around our backyard until the battery indicator turns yellow (about 40 minutes). So far, they have recharged them overnight after each use, but the charger light turns green much sooner than the 12 hour recommended charge time. The bikes are heavy and very sturdy. My kids love running them up and down the small hills and dips and bumps in our 2 acre yard. They go about as fast as a vigorously pedaled bicycle, so I think the 15 mph top speed is about right. When I first opened the boxes and looked at the instructions, I groaned at the 30 minute estimated time to assemble, but it actually went very fast. All you have to do is attach the front fender, the handle bars and the front wheel. It was very easy, much to my relief. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Looks cool
Got it for my 8 year old grandson, but he prefers to ride his five year-old brothers high boy because it’s faster and lighter, I am going to replace the three lead acid batteries with one lithium ion battery, it should make it about 18 pounds lighter.

Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike
I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants to get their child a motorcycle but, like me, is too scared to get a "real" one. I purchased this for my 9 year old, 80 pound, 4th grader for Christmas and he LOVES it!! He has done nothing but ride it since he opened it. It goes about 18 miles per hour when the battery is fully charged, and the ride seems to be smooth on grass and pasture as well as on pavement. The box said this model was for kids 14 and up, but I don't see a child of that age wanting to ride this. The battery charges well and gives the bike nice, quick starts. The machine is completely quiet and smooth. My son did, however, have one wreck already....he wasn't going that fast but hit a ridge in the driveway just as he was making a turn. He wasn't hurt at all and the bike was not damaged one bit. The fully assembled bike weighs a little over 100 pounds so it's not going to crush anybody. You have to be careful, of course, and be extra cautious until you've really got the feel of it. But my son has had two of the Razor motorbikes smaller than this one so he's pretty good with two wheeled toys. Assembly was extremly easy, by the way, as it really wasn't assembly at all. The bike arrives pretty much intact. I'd recommend this bike, and I'd highly recommend this Seller.

So far -- So good !!
I got this bike for my 9 year old for Christmas. It was the main thing he asked for. I am a single mom and was able to put the handle bars and front tire on by myself. After I got the handlebars on, I turned it upside down to get the front wheel on. My son rode it off and on for about 4 hours on Christmas day. So far there were no problems and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I did not have the same problem with the box being messed up or missing parts. The box was in mint condition. We had a snow storm that night and into the next day, and he has not had a chance to ride it again just yet. I will repost if I find any problems later. The bike seems to be well built and very sturdy. In fact it weighs about 110 lbs, which makes it a little hard for me to lift to transport to another location to ride. I do not have a garage to keep it out of the cold, but I have a sun room that we store it in with only one step to get it out/inside. The first time I took it down the front steps (10 steps) and it was really hard to manage -- had to use the brakes to keep it from pulling me down with it!!! LOL
