Works really well to clear out your dryer ducts
After having to call someone in to clean the dryer air duct wanted to see how hard it would be to do it myself.Very easy to assemble, attaching lengths of rod as you go to travel the length of the duct. Follow the instructions to ensure that you only rotate it around in the correct direction to ensure that you don't unscrew the rods and it come undone within the duct. Can be purchased with different amounts of lengths of rod to ensure that you can reach the end of your duct. It all unscrews so that it can be stored easily until it is needed.A great value for money instead of having to call someone in to do the job for you that only takes a short time to do yourself.

Not bad
Good product. Would be so much better if it had a storage case or bag. This rod has good flexibility that allows for the operator to use the drill in one hand and push/pull the flex rod with the other hand. As your drill is spinning the rod, push the rod in about 2’ and pull backwards that same distance in a continuous motion time 4-6 times. After you clean a distance of about 6’, completely pull the rod/brush out in order to remove lint build up. Repeat. You will be amazed how much lint will come out. Run the dryer afterwards for a few minutes. This will blow out the fine dust. You will need two pair of pliers to disassemble each of the rods due to the drill causes the fittings to tighten. Just gently grip the male and female with the pliers and a tiny reverse twist to break the tightness.

Amazing results!
We never thought there was much lint collecting inside our 20' dryer duct. Our dryer seem to keep taking longer and longer to dry clothes which we attributed to it being 8 years old. I even blew out the duct using a gas powered blower which removed some lint (I thought it removed it all).A year later the washer went out (it was a stackable unit) and we bought a new washer/dryer stack. We thought we bought a lemon because there was a ton of condensation coming out of the dryer vent and it was taking forever to dryer.Enter the Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit. I bought this 8 months ago thinking at some point I would clean out the little bit of lint that was in the ducting. The day the new dryer was installed I removed the dryer to access the vent. I inserted the dryer cleaner which pulled out a few large clumps of lint, but then stopped 1/3 of the way through (leaving one of the 1' connectors twisted - much like some have posted pictures of). I then went to the other end of the line and did the same thing removing more lint, but stopping 1/3 of the way through. I thought "Great, I cleared the vent!"That evening dryer loads were still taking forever to dry (never really drying) and condensation around the vent was off the charts. At this point I realized that I need to run this cleaner through the entire line. Instead of push it through which creates the twisting of the segments and would never go all the way through for me, I decide to pull it through. To do this I had a pull a string through the vent then tape the end of the segments that connects to the drill and pull that through until the brush it at the beginning of the vent. I watched a video by an electrician who showed how to suck a fishing line with a small plastic bag (like a parachute) through the duct. As I used the shop vac on on end the bag+fishing line was not coming out, but I was getting a bunch of lint coming out. I went to the other end to try the same thing with the shop vac and got a ton of lint, but not the fishing line+bag until suddenly enough lint cleared that the bag and line came through.I used that to pull a strong string through and then attached the end of the string to the drill end of the vent cleaner rod. Once the end was sticking out, I attached the drill, turn it on, and slow started pulling. The result was miraculous. No bent segments, the pulled through seamlessly, and in the process brought out another ton more of lint (a lot of it went due to the ongoing condensation caused by restricted flow). The trick is to set the cleaner so that you can PULL it through no push it through the duct.New dryer is drying flawlessly. I plan to run the cleaner through the duct once every 6 months and use my shop vac once a month to gauge how frequently I need to clean the vent.Amazing results!

It works, but could be better...
First off, this is functional and worked to clean out my dryer duct which was the end result I was looking for when I bought this 30' duct cleaning kit; and for the price I cannot complain too much. However, the nylon rods connect to one another via threads which makes them difficult to disconnect from each other without two pliers. Would have much preferred they offer this product with the detent style quick connectors so that as you use the product it does not force the nylon rods to get tighter and tighter connected to each other. Overall this item worked just could be a more user friendly.

If your dryer blew the thermal fuse, clean the vents even if it looks ok.
Worked really well and removed a ton of lint. My dryer blew the thermal fuse, so I knew I had a problem. I could not see all that much lint in the exhaust from my limited view but decided to clean the pipe out anyway. I was surprised to see how much stuff came out; I could have filled a pillow with all of that junk. The vent pipe is only 10 feet long but does have 3 90-degree bends in it. It was a little tough getting the bush through the bends, but gentle and repeated pushing got it past them. My vent goes straight down through the floor, so I had to reach in by hand to remove what the brush loosened and then vacuum the remaining lint.
