why do I do this to myself
I feel insane for reading her books and thinking, “maybe this one won’t be soul crushing.”Great book. Very emotional - prepare to feel all the feels. It seriously covers them all.

everything Kate writes is GOLD!!
Another beautiful masterpiece that is angsty, sweet and still thought provoking! I am absolutely obsessed with Kate Stewart and this book makes me feel no different than the Ravenhood trilogy. The story is beautiful and there were a few times that tears were brought to my eyes. This book feels like something Jennifer Hartmann would cook up so if you love her too this book is a must read!

Holy Angst!!! LOVE Dean and Dallas!
One of my absolute FAVORITE things about Kate's books are her lead females. Dallas did not disappoint. She is genuine, witty, sarcastic and strong. She is a fighter, and a survivor. But, beneath her tough exterior is a girl with a heart of gold... A girl who loves with all she has... A girl whose heart has been shattered... who does what she has to do to protect herself from ever feeling that type of heartache again. And Dean.. agh Dean. He's funny and charming and sexy as hell... Her womanizing bff turned lover, turned heart breaker.Okay so onto the story. Dean and Dallas meet in highschool. He is a senior to her freshman and both are insanely attracted to the other. But, she is too young and because Dean respects her and wants to be a gentleman, they can only be friends.Queue angst. Holy crap! Kate takes you right back to those teenage years... the naivety, the insecurities, the butterflies and jealousy. I was that teen girl in love with her best friend. The bonus here is you get his POV as well. You can tell how completely in love Dean is with Dallas and all of his reasons for not acting on his feelings. So, when he screws half the town, you can't even hate him!And that is just the beginning... after high school comes college and eventually a relationship and, yes... more heartbreak. In the present they meetup years later and the pull is still there. But, they have so much history and not all of it good... Is their childhood love enough to get them through their problems... is such a rocky past worth risking their present relationships and the happiness they've managed to attain? If you are an angst whore like me, you will LOVE this book. These characters became so real to me. I love them so much and was sad when it ended. The supporting characters also were great. Kate threw in some curve balls that I did not see coming. I laughed and I cried my eyes out... and at one point... I wanted to punch Kate in her beautiful face...(love you Kate... how could you???). This book will take you on an amazing emotional journey. I can't wait to see where these other characters end up!With each book Kate writes, I am blown away. She always brings the feels... the humor... the originality. I keep waiting for a time when she will let me down but she just never does. Kate has become an automatic one-click for me... an author who speaks my language... a real treasure!

another emotional masterpiece
Yet again, Kate has written a real love story, told from the heart told from a perfectly hopeless romantic. Definitely worth the read.

Really?
Yep...precedent set. After reading hundreds of books in this genre, a certain thickening of the skin can occur. So, when I find myself needing a tissue for my running nose and free falling tears over a secondary character, who contributes about a half page of dialog to the story- somebody has mad character development skills. Granted (pun fully intended), I have had a stressful week, so hormones could be in play, but I digress. It's a unique and well thought out story with a kick-ass heroine and an Adonis-like hero. Read it, you won't regret it!

Oh how I fell for the Fall between Dallas and Dean
Where do I begin? Wow. Just simply wow times a million. It is rare that I find a book like Stewart's The Fall. Let me just tell you Dallas was not the only one who fell for Dean. I fell for him; his determination, pain, love for her and all. And I fell for Dallas too; her pain, humor, sarcasm, love for Dean, attitude and all. But above all else, I fell for their unconditional love for each other in the past and in the present. And to me, THAT is what makes this review and book so worthwhile. You know you can relate to a character when everything that character is feeling, you can feel it too deep within your soul. I could feel the love between them. I felt her pain and I felt his pain. I was so caught up in their story that every time Dallas let her feelings show to Dean, I could not help but think, "yeah Dean why? Why?" The alternating chapters between Dallas and Dean is what made their story so tragic, yet so so beautiful. I love that the past was told in Dean's p.o.v. Why? Because even though I read and felt all of Dallas's emotions and thoughts in the present, I knew right away that what Dean felt for her from the beginning was something so beautiful and tragic that even he was as effected by her as she was by him. You start to understand his reasoning and realize that he always made his decisions with her in mind. So, when it came to reading Dallas's present life and every moment with Dean, with all of her emotions, breakdowns, rants, while all of her feelings were completely justifiable, you knew that their love was bigger than there just being a one sided love. He fell for her just as much as she fell for him.Their past broke them but their love is what brought them to try to pick up those pieces. So, simply put, I could not put this book down. And without a doubt, I will reread their story again because it is that beautiful. I cannot wait to read more from Stewart.

Just ok
While it was a decent read it never really grabbed me. It wasn't one if those stay up way past my bedtime can't put it down reads. It was missing character development. I think we a little more character development I could have became more attached to the characters which could have made it a don't want to put down read. Instead it became a book I just wanted to get through so I could move on.

Yes to second chances!
Everything Kate Stewart writes is so good! I'm so happy to read Kate's early work. It as the right amount of angst, romance and heart and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed!Davis and Dean had it all but their timing was off. Years apart only intensified their feelings once they confronted eachother and let go of what they had no control over. That is when sparks just flew and they reconnected. Second chance romance at it's best!

Vergangenheit versus Zukunft

Wow!!! Seriously. WOW. This book was EVERYTHING I have been wanting in a second chance romance novel. Hands down the best second chance love story I’ve read. The arguments they had - the conversations that needed to be had (which rarely are) were perfection. I think the only thing would have been maybe a bit more remorse from Dean or anger from Dally about his engagement…only because it was such a big part of their love story right? The promise made, her hope of him keeping his promise. The fact that he asked someone else first … ooooofff I don’t think I’d be able to get over that!!!!But look I’m knit picking because I have been searching for a second chance romance like this one!!!Oh ok the other thing would be - I would love an alternate ending. I love this story and love the ending but I would also have loved an ending where she does pick Josh. Where she does actually realise; they had their time, it didn’t work out, he wasn’t there for her, the consequences of his choices left him without her and she was happy and loved with someone else now.

Tornado or Tronado? which one will win?
Have you ever encountered a Tornado? That thick mobile vortex of swirling cloud that churns and funnels its way giving no thought for the path it takes or the destruction it leaves behind.Dean Martin was her tornado since he swirled into her life at 15 and left behind a destructive path by the time she was 20. Broken - Dallas Whitaker swore that no man would ever hurt her again.7 years later that Tornado was back this time this time stronger and once again crashing into her life but this time Dallas had built impenetrable walls ensuring that the Tornado would not cause her to fall. She had moved on and she was no longer that young girl and of course she now had Josh......and Dean was engaged to Hannah......but Tornado's have indestructible power and determination and no matter how much barrier's you put in their way they manage to swirl through breaking everything in its path. The Tornado was coming for her - she felt its eminence and its path was clear - it wanted her and no matter how fast she ran from its path it would get her but which angry vortex would make her fall this time? The boy who took half of her heart at 15 or the man who held it now?this is the 5th Kate Stewart read for me and each book has just got better and better. This story had so much, it was well written and I loved the characters. Such an emotional read and I had to get the tissues out but for me it was an epic love story."Tu tienes la otra mitad de mi corazon, y no puedo vivir sin ella""You have the other half of my heart and I can't live without it"I absolutely loved it.
