Intex Pool Bench, Foldable Seat for Above Ground Pools

Love! Hated paying the price but considering it an investment as we will have this pool for at least 3-4 years and my 4 yr old still a bit apprehensive about the water. Telling her that she could go to the seat for a safe rest spot next to mommy made all the difference in the world. Fits perfectly on the Summer Waves Elite 18’ 48-52” round above ground steel frame pool. Comes assembled and ready to go. Just open the box and place properly then tighten. There’s a weight limit of 220 or so (don’t quote me on that) just as an FYI. Great quality product very pleased!

This is such an amazing pool! We had someone level for us and put it up but worth it in the end! We did upgrade filters and bought the Intex pool chairs that attach on the side and it’s been fabulous! We are in it daily and love it! Super sturdy! Stays clean and blue.

Good product add on for the larger intex pools. One came broke (one of the screws to anchor to rail top was stripped)...but didn’t return it since it would have been a hassle and I needed it the same weekend. Other has held up very well despite kids hanging all over it.

This seat is a great addition to our Intex rectangular pool (16x32). It connects to the side without having to use any tools so installation takes about one minute. It can be moved around and folded up. It's nice to be in the pool and be sitting, without having to be on a float and take up a lot of real estate. I am considering buying a second one, for the other end of the pool or to create more of a bench effect.

Our family LOVES these seats. My 5 & 7 year old use them to jump off of while my husband and I use them to relax while the kids swim. Very sturdy, simple to install, and they look brand new after several months of daily use.

This product is a great idea, for the reasons stated in these reviews. The bench is sturdy, heavy, and made of durable material. It's also easy to install. However, there are a few important things to point out. First, if mounted on an Intex above-ground steel frame pool (I have the 20' x 10' rectangle version with about 4' of water in the pool), the backrest of the bench sits at an uncomfortable, awkward angle. This is because the walls of the Intex pools are slightly inverted, because the bottom of the pool walls are wider than the top of the walls. In other words, the backrest of the bench sits at an inverted angle of about 80 degrees, because this is the angle of the liner/wall. While there is a plastic "block" piece on the back of the backrest that is supposed to care for this problem, it's not long/deep enough to offset the angle issue. In the end, when one sits on the bench with back against the backrest, one is forced to lean forward toward the water. A solution would be for the product to come with several adapters to insert behind the bench, which would put the backrest at more of a 90 degree or 110 degree (reclined). Alternatively, the manufacturer can design a version that has a seat adjustment that locks at different angles. Second, I mounted the bench in a manner that straddled one of the metal legs. I did this with the thought that the plastic block that gets inserted behind the backrest would push against the leg (rather than push against the soft part of the liner) with the hope it would give the bench more support -- and a better angle (see above). However, this resulted in the leg bending in light of the weight applied on the bench seat (I weigh 200 lbs -- and less than that in the water). I have since moved the bench, so that now it sits between two pair of legs, but this, of course, has made the sitting angle on the backrest worse, because of the issue described above -- but it's better than bending the legs of the pool any further. Overall, a solid product, and with a few tweaks in subsequent versions I suspect the product will be even better.

We have a stock tank pool and I was worried it would sit on the bottom, but it actually gives me the perfect lift, 2-3 inches off the floor of the tank. A little pricey, but overall worth it. I am able to sit comfortably and this chair allows for just the right amount of support for my back. 10/10 would buy again.
