Good, solid, and useful
These are good, sturdy yet flexible gloves. They are an excellent length and provide protection from thorns and other unpleasant garden encounters - red velvet ants for example.

Great long garden gloves
These were a gift for my son. His new to him home has WAY too many poison ivy, Virginia creeper and brush! So,after getting multiple bad reactions, I sent him these. He loves them! Great fit/length, flexible fingers and just perfect for the ongoing job!

Has 2XL size that is great! Hard to find size. Soft & flexible gloves. Great protection to my elbow
Fantastic gauntlet 2 X.L. cowhide gloves! Not many have that large a size. I'm 6'3" with long arms and the gloves protect almost up to my elbow. Our Meyer lemon tree has beautiful fruit but VERY MEAN thorns. These gloves are the perfect protection from those thorns. Not a cheap brand but worth the money for a great gauntlet glove. I harvested many lemons today. Thanks.

Nice gauntlet gloves
I own now two pairs of these gloves and am very happy with the fit and feel. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition. They do what they designed for.

Love these gloves, finger tips could be sewn better.
We love these gloves. We moved to Arizona last year and, as another reviewer who influenced our purchase pointed out, everything here has thorns. I used the bejeezus out of these gloves over 3 months of re-landscaping, I ended up using them as work gloves because they saved my hands from blisters during hundreds of wheelbarrow runs. I just bought another pair of the white gloves, as the finger tips have opened up on 4 of the fingers from the stitching coming apart and it wasn't very fun moving a large agave the other day with them in this state. They protect from most thorns, the super thin cactus spines can still come through. My husband has (mostly) loved the pair I bought for him, he wears them when pruning the mesquite. The only down side of the gloves he has, the brown ones, is that they die his hands orange and I then tease him about having Oompa Loompa hands, which doesn't go over well. Overall good gloves, need sturdier stitching. Good price, recommended.

Withstands Cat Attacks
My cat won't use kicker toys. I bought these so she could burn off that wild energy on my hand (because, otherwise, she attacks my legs). They 100% protect my hand when she has it in a death grip and doing her death kick. If these protect my hands from her syringe-like claws, I'm confident they'd work against thorns. After numerous kill sessions, the gloves have not been damaged by her attacks. Also, she loves the smell of full grain leather (fancy kitty, I guess), and when she isn't pretending that the glove is a bunny, she rubs her face all over it. That makes me fairly confident that the glove is a reasonably high-quality leather. I am a petite female adult. My palm is about 2.75 inches/ 7 cm across, 3.5 inches / 9 cm from wrist to knuckles. Tip of middle finger to wrist is about 6.5 inches / 16.5 cm. Stretched hand is is about 7.5 inches / 19 cm from tip of thumb to pinkie finger. The small fits just right.

Great protection from our rose bushes!
We use these gloves for general gardening functions but most importantly for dealing with our roses. The gloves fit very well and give us plenty of dexterity. The long cuffs are wonderful for protecting our arms and hands from the rose thorns. Great product and super value for the money!

Bought a second pair!
I can’t say enough good about these gloves. I’m removing several years worth of invasives including sumac, multiflora with long spines, and vines. After hours not a single puncture. I bought XL as I have abnormally long hands and they protect almost past elbows. I haven’t used these for fine gripping so there are probably better gloves. But if you’re looking to protect your arms from scratches and sticks, these are the ones. I’m working with hand tools and they provide a good grip yet aren’t excessively heavy or stiff. Leather is good quality and appearance is pleasing. Doesn’t show dirt easily. Liked them so much I bought a second pair when my daughter was helping me. I think the ad is a little confusing—says one item but in fact is a pair that comes in an attractive gift box. You could put a ribbon on it and give it for Mother’s Day.

Safe from brambles and thorns in these.
Bought these for clearing a back garden full of brambles and untouched for 20 years. These undoubtedly saved my hands and forearms many times. Unreservedly recommend.

Hole in fingertip after 3 wearings
I purchased these gloves to do yard work. I waited almost 4 weeks for them to be delivered. I received them May 17, 2018 and wore them over the May long weekend. By Sunday there was already a hole in the finger tip of the glove. For the price I thought I would have years of wear.

Well stitched just not as thick leather as I believe the quality should be
Neither rose nor salmonberry bush thorns are prevented from sticking your hands while using as the ones from Lee Valley are. Not send back but wouldn’t order again these particular gloves.
