Brass Fittings! High Quality Product!
You will be hard pressed to find a better manufactured 100' expandable hose with brass fittings, especially with such a great price. On each hose end are high grade brass fittings which thread smoothly and do not leak. The brass fitting on the watering end of the hose includes a shut off valve which is smooth, precise also without leakage. During my full product inspection I did not see any visible manufacturing defects. In fact, I could not find a single drop of water leaking from the valve, hose, hose cover, or brass fittings. Nifty Grower 100' Garden Hose expands and contracts correctly, and expandable length is 100', true to specifications. With the solid construction and materials I was surprised to see the low cost. Priced as low as some expandable hoses half the length or hoses using plastic fittings. I have purchased an expandable hose with plastic fittings, and they do not last long. Do yourself a favor and make sure any expandable hose purchased includes brass fittings. In addition to the value discussed above, a carrying bag and four additional fitting seals are included. Extra seals are needed, as rubber seals go bad over time, and is great to see some extras included to save a trip to home improvement store. The simple carrying bag has a drawstring rope cord lock and is actually large enough to fit retracted hose with ease.By far the best feature of this product is the ease of use. Typical 100' garden hoses are heavy, tangle easy, and difficult to move. The Nifty Grower is more convenient due to low weight, extra long, but hard to tangle. I did find higher water pressure helps the hose performance regarding time to full expansion, and less retraction during high flow water use. My culinary water is 75 PSI and my pressurized irrigation system spigot is 100-125 PSI. I recommend 100 -150 PSI for the length of this hose for best experience.

Good product, but has defects
Purchased this hose on July 27th, 2019. Its extremely light, maneuverable, and convenient. However, today on October 4th, 2019 (barely two months) it had burst on me while I was watering my shrubs/bushes (see picture). The only reason I didn't rank it at one star was because of all the positives. Before anyone asks; yes, I did keep slack on the hose when I was done. No, I didn't over stretch the hose while using it (100ft is more than I need for my front and back). Yes, I did drain the hose when I was done using it.This product has A LOT of potential, but i'm unsure if the material are of low quality, or if I just got a defective hose. I wasn't expecting it to last a decade, but I certainly hoped for more than two months. Hope this helped someone.

Quality and customer service.
Purchased less than one month ago and the rubber reinforcement at the brass connection has already pulled loose. Expect hoe to fail at the connection. Purchased this particular hose because it was reinforced. Had another brand without the reinforcement that failed within a year. Emailed Nifty Grower regarding the problem did not get a response. Would not recommend the product.

Unimpressed
This hose is good for short distances but not long ones like 100 feet. Also, if you're thinking that the 5/8ths diameter has as much water pressure as the standard type... forget it... it doesn't. Also, the outside is starting to fray after owning it for three months. It has a place but not for people who like strong water pressure.

Needs 45psi minimum, frays easily
I tried this hose but found two problems: first, it would not expand to 100 feet, but rather, about 75 feet and it shrank when I opened a spray nozzle attached; second, it frayed quite easily after having been pulled across a smooth concrete driveway one single time. I sent it back, and gave it one star. Not recommended.Update: The vendor contacted me and asked if I would try another hose; perhaps the first one was defective. Sure. I'm willing to try one more time. Well, the second hose performed exactly like the first. Hmm. Maybe I have a water pressure problem? No other hose had this problem, so I got out a water pressure meter and found that my water pressure is 35psi, a little low but not drastically. Still, I went to a friend's house on the other side of town and tested his pressure. It was 45psi. I tried the hose there, and it expanded to over 100 feet, (Hurrah!) and it did not shrink back up when using a nozzle and spraying down his deck. So the hose performed perfectly, however, after I removed the hose and put it away in its bag, this time I had pulled the hose over a wood deck, not concrete, yet there were already places where it was fraying from contacting wood splinters. Not cool.So I gave it three stars, with these caveats: 1) your water pressure must be 45psi or greater, or the hose will not fully expand and stay that way; 2) you should be dragging your hose over grass instead of concrete or wood, otherwise it will fray very quickly. I really like the way you can put it in a bag and it doesn't take up a lot of space, but I am still concerned about the durability. And I have no use for it at my house due to my 35psi water pressure. So I use hoses that do not shrink/expand.
