Decent read
While this provide more insight than the movie and touch some uncovered topics like army and his friends, has no mention of some of the things shown in movie .. it's ok for a quick read

Must-have book for fans of Dhoni and Indian cricket!
Engrossing, well-written book on the life of a mythical superhero of Indian cricket. The book is an amazing recreation of the folklore that surrounds the legend of Dhoni. The book is clearly written by someone who is a gifted storyteller and writer - the author has done an excellent job of capturing the most personal perspective of people in Dhoni's life. Bharat Sundaresan does a great job of curating his book with the most curious and gripping anecdotes, which ultimately reveals what makes Dhoni's influence on Indian cricket seemingly so magical. I've always been a fan of Bharat's sports articles on Anil Gurav and Patrick Patterson.

Okay. Better give it a miss, if you have seen the biopic
The overall impression I get is 'written by a Dhoni fan for Dhoni fans'It just follows in the line of the biopic. Nothing much that is new. No further insight.I am a fan of MSD and wish this was a more comprehensive work. The writing style is typically 'Indian English' , with lots of big words thrown in for good measure. My english teacher would most likely frown, but if the author had more indepth content, the writing style would have worked in favor of the book. It gave me a warm feeling. Felt like I was listening to someone talk over coffee at the local adda. Very much MSD style.I enjoyed the biopic, maybe because that was the first glimpse into Dhoni's world - from Dhoni's lens.I had hoped this bio would have something more;and there you have the reason for my disappointment .

was expecting an inside story but revolves around the sidelines
author seems like a fan boy and too many pages wasted on the hair length (about the author and dhoni).

Run of the mill writing. Dull storytelling
Very poorly written. The book was too dull. I did have some positive takeaways. But had to grind my way through the pages.
