Just as promised
I was looking for a rail rack set to replace my cheapy sup board foam rack, no matter what I did I never felt it would keep it safe & secure on my Toyota Camry. When I saw this LOCKDOWN soft rack with the ease, the promise of staying secure & the price I had to try it. Tested yesterday & found the product to be of quality (even down to the twist ties they use). It was a windy day so going with the wind it did not move or bounce at all & coming back into the wind there was a slight bounce but nowhere near to what it was on my old rack so I'm sooo happy that it works as promised & I can use my board more often. Yes there are comprises to be made with these types of racks with having the straps through the car & though I haven't tested it normally the straps will get soaked & drip in the car if left on in the rain but for me this was exactly what I was looking for and I'm very happy with this purchase.

Excellent value and works perfectly keeping board secure.
Was about to buy the whole yakima roof rack system and then read about how ppl steal them and it damages the roof of car. This rack was somewhat difficult to figure out at first because the instructions were not great (the reviews from other ppl and YouTube video helped tremendously). It holds down the board very solid and does not loosen while driving. It takes a couple minutes to put up and take down every time you use it but it will get your board to your destination safely. The service and communication were outstanding by this company when US postal made error. I would not hesitate to order again...

Works great!
Worked really well. It held our surfboards on for a two hour drive with no issues. Makes sure the straps are tucked in so they don't flip around and make a loud noise.

A win!
Great for hauling my Paddleboard to the beach! I use it on one side of my carrier as I’m short and want to make sure the board is secure before driving. It will hold two boards and love the security it provides when traveling. Easy to use and definitely worth the purchase.

Great car rack if you have space between your roof and rails!
Overall, I love these racks. I've used them a few times already and can only comment on transporting one board (so far). It's kept it secure, tight and with minimal noise or frustration installing it. The only glitch, for my VW Sportwagon, is that the winch is just slightly too big to fit between the rail and the roof. I've ended up just securing it to one rail and then through the doors of the passenger side, which works if you don't have passengers! Might go just go fully through the car roof next time that I do. Otherwise, the quality is really nice, design in straight forward and seems to do exactly what I bought it for! Would recommend!

It's ok. Does it's job but I worry.
I bought this last year for my SUP. There are some good and some bad aspects. I like that it had the padding so it won't scratch my roof. I've had a pano glass roof and now a regular roof and it hasn't scratch either of them. I've carried up to two boards on it and have arrived with them both. Once you figure out how to put it on it's not that hard. Kinda time consuming because you have to keep running back and forth to each side of the car. Much easier with two people. I don't like that it's hard to get it tight. You can tighten it up as much as you can, start driving and it comes loose. I usually have to pull over after a few miles and tighten it again. I'm afraid it will fly off or something. It's unlikely but it definitely adjusts to let the board move up a good 5 inches off the front of the car. It can also move sideways a bit. I have taken it on the freeway up to 70ish MPH. The board is still there when I get to my destination so that's good... I just worry the whole trip.

Pleased!
It is a very good and inexpensive way to transport my SUP.than Takes a bit of time to figure out the first time. The only bad part is 2 of the clips seem like they should be facing inward instead of outward, it is causing the straps to fray.
