Great purchase, basic microphone
Like everyone else in this pandemic, I have or know or have someone in my house who wanted to start a podcast. This was one of the first products that came up upon looking for "Basic USB Microphone". It fits that description exactly. I don't remember exactly what we paid (around $70 I think?) but this is exactly what we needed. It is simple, easy to use, no fancy bells or whistles, and has worked well with our Windows computer so far (simply haven't tried on any other Operating Systems). The USB cord is sufficiently long enough to be able to place the microphone within a comfortable place, even if you can't sit directly at your PC/laptop.This worked without installing any drivers or software or downloads. We plugged it in and our PC immediately recognized it as an audio "input" device. For a few minutes I was worried that nothing actually installed because the software was so automatic and hidden that I didn't even see a "Driver installing..." popup. I simply plugged this in and 5 seconds later it was working and recognized. The sound quality has been amazing. The only issues with our podcast has been our lack of audio editing skills and quality of our computer software. No fault from the microphone there - it's definitely outshining the rest of our amateur set-up.I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great "basic" microphone for doing interviews or if you need to record professional audio. As this is fairly stationary (the base is very sturdy, fairly heavy and will not tip over) I wouldn't think this is very portable or good for gaming. A head-set would be my guess for that purpose. But, if you're going to be sitting at a desk or table and want to record some audio while having your head face the same general area, this microphone works great. There is an "angle" on the microphone instructions which is fairly wide which supports the clearest sound recording. That has worked great so far and very little (if any) background noise has been picked up. Flushing toilets in the next room, barking dogs downstairs, crying toddler down the hallway, none of that has been picked up by the microphone - it does a good job of recording only the audio directed at that "angle" I mentioned a few sentences ago.Although I say "basic" microphone, and I think this is on the "cheaper" side of equipment cost in general, this item is by no means "cheaply made". It is solid, well built, and seems much higher quality than the price point at which we purchased.Side note: There are no buttons on the microphone (recording volume, mute, power on/off are some buttons I've seen on other Mics) but we did not want/need any for our purposes. Just be aware of that when purchasing in case you are looking for that functionality.10/10 microphone, fit our amateur needs exactly, and probably would work for more professional environments as well.

A good mic for a beginner
I bought this microphone to help me pursue a dream in creating audio books. If you have the money, you should spend up and get a nicer one, but in a pinch, this'll do. Assuming you have the proper set up, you can get some very good quality audio. Unfortunately, a few of my long chapters I have recorded have been tarnished by a rythmic static noise that comes and goes without any explanation. It has only happened to a few of my recordings in the like five months I've owned it, but beware. It might just strike you too. Anyways, this microphone served me well.

Ease of setup and clarity
I was pleasantly surprised by the SUDOTACK USB microphone. Setting it up was a breeze, and the audio quality is exceptional. The sound is clear and crisp, perfect for recording podcasts or streaming. The included accessories, like the shock mount and pop filter, are great additions. If you're looking for a budget-friendly microphone with professional-quality sound, this is definitely worth considering.

Well made, solid performer at a great budget price.
This is a USB microphone. Don't expect a super high quality professional microphone for $52. That out of the way, it is easily worth $100. The microphone is packaged very well for transport or storage when not n use. The desk stand is sturdy and heavy enough to stay in place. The shock mount is decent, but the overall shock system is a bit on the small side and it is tight enough that you can get some carry through vibrations. For me it worked well as I have a fairly quiet environment without a great deal of vibration. The microphone sound reproduction was good and the cardioid pattern worked well to pick up only the sounds that I wanted recorded. As for use in gaming, unless you are close to your desk it is probably not the mounting you want. A clamped on more flexible and maneuverable mount would be better. The microphone itself would work great. The construction is well made. All the components are solid and feel like a quality product. If you need a small desk setup and want a good recording setup. This one is worth the purchase.

Great mic for beginners!
I bought this mic because I do YouTube videos and needed something that would give me better sound quality than the webcam mic provided. Not knowing a ton about mics and not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars on a Yeti and all the accessories, I stumbled upon this guy. I gotta say, I'm really impressed with the sound!Being USB powered, it's plug and play, so there isn't much to set up; just plug it in and go. It's a solid little buggar as well and doesn't tip easily. It also doesn't pick up stray sounds, which is nice. My kiddos are usually running around screaming and laughing, the furnace is running (office is in the basement), and I forget to turn off the sound on my phone...nothing. It only picks up sounds directly in front of it, so if you're talking, you're going to be what it picks up.For those looking to get into doing videos, podcasts, or something along those lines, I'd highly recommend you get this mic!

It’s very particular
This is not working well for my podcasting. I wasn’t aware that I had to speak directly into the front of the mic without turning my head at all to make it pick up my voice. The first podcast I recorded with it was not usable as recorded because some of it was very loud (when I was speaking directly into the mic) and much of it was bearly audible. It’s picky, so the only way to make the audio consistent is to speak into the same exact, very narrow spot on the mic the entire time, and that’s not easy. We had to do a whole lot of editing post production to make my voice heard. I would not buy it again.
