This is a visually stimulating engaging kinetic activity to revise Consonant Vowel Consonant patterns; CVC 3 letter words. Decoding is an essential emergent literacy skill. The box indicates 3 years plus but I would caution that special needs children could mouth and choke upon these small pieces so it should be used with supervision with the young child. I used this activity in a special needs Year1/2 class and they were thrilled with it. The child chooses a picture and places that in the centre and then attempts to choose 3 letters to form initial, medial and final sounds to spell out the word matching that image.

I have bought many of your products from play food to preschool learning sets and I have to say I have never been disappointed! These adorable cupcakes are no exception! Excellent quality and many ways to learn and play. Right now my Niece and I are putting them in the sensory table and color matching. All of the picks match the different colors of the cupcake tops. As she keeps learning we will start with letter recognition and then on to spelling! These will last for years as they are so amazingly made just like all of your products have been so far!

Love this product as a Mom and Speech Language Pathologist! I bought this for my 4.5 year old daughter. She knows all of the upper case letters and is wanting to learn the lower case. This makes learning fun! I am also able to give her the sounds in words and she is finding the correct letters to spell the CVC (cat, sit) words. Once she is done with this toy, I plan to use it at work with my literacy patients.

The media could not be loaded. These cupcakes are cute and sturdy- good to practice dexterity with little hands and they can put the toppers in the holes.It comes with toppers of easy to recognize pictures and 26 letters (uppercase on one side; lowercase on the other). It’s great to use for how the pictures depict it- find the letter that’s at the beginning of the word. We also use for color sorting. However, as the child progresses their skill, this does not progress with them. Since there is only 1 of each letter, many of the words (apple, moon) are unable to be spelled, since they require double letters. I really wish it came with 2 of each letter or the ability to purchase and extra set of letters. I have to filter out the pictures of words he can or cannot spell with the available letters, which is a fix, but not what I was expecting when the box kept advertising the number of toppers total, not how they’re broken down. My 3 year old granddaugter has had so much fun playing and leaning with ABC Cupcake Party Toppers it has becaome one of our favorite things to do when I visit. The pieces are easy to put together and are just the right size for little hands. This is a great toy to help teach small children the alphabet. Learing can be fun!

This is such a cute set that I was able to purchase on pre-order. I bought it to use as a therapy tool for work but let my two-year old enjoy it over the summer. There are so many things you can teach with this set: following directions, prepositions, color sorting, basic vocabulary, matching letter to object, spelling words, describing object attributes, etc. Can’t wait to officially use this in therapy!

Great product overall. Good quality and cute pictures for each letter. Only complaint is there aren’t enough holes in the top to accommodate every letter/picture at the same time and you can’t buy replacement letters. Otherwise great purchase and would highly recommend anything from the learning resources brand.

Very sturdy. My 5 year old daughter has a lot of fun with them. They are great, I just wish that they came with more than one if each letter. Other than that it is a great product.

The children at my childcare centre loved these! They played for weeks with them. The younger children liked the decorating aspects and the older ones liked the alphabet tiles.
