Great for New Frenchie Owners!
Even thought the information in this book is presented in a simple, basic format, I was immediately impressed with the information it contained! Especially talking about over-vaccinating and doing titer tests instead. I like the color photos, ease of reading, and up to date, accurate information. I am an experienced dog person, especially with the Brachycephalic (flat skull structure) dog breeds. Having had Boxers, Boston Terriers, and Pugs for the last 24 years. But I am not as familiar with French Bulldogs and need a good reference because I am now involved in a Frenchie rescue and looking to adopt my first Frenchie! :O) I think this book is just what I need to answer the basics and beyond. I would definitely recommend it to anyone unfamiliar with Frenchies.

Fantastic book
By far and away my best book on French Bulldogs! I own two Frenchies, Sasha and Thor. This is the first book I pick up when I have any questions regarding my little dogs. It is easy to read and the wire binding is so handy to quickly access an important page and laying book flat when using both hands to wrangle one of my little dogs. This is a great book to read if you have any questions before adopting a Frenchie to your family. The author, Lisa Ricciotti, is very objective in describing the joys and responsibilities when owning this breed. Having said that, it is obvious Lisa truly loves French Bulldogs!

Helping to train my baby Frenchie!
This book was soooooo helpful!!! We have been doing a lot of the suggestions and surprisingly, we quickly have gotten our Frenchie puppy crate trained. We have upgraded her to a little section of the kitchen when we go to work or have to run a quick errand, and she either uses her puppy pads or is holding it until we get home. Also, I love the food section of this book. We had to switch our pup because the food she was on is only at a specific location which is a pretty far drive for us. Because of my reading of this book, we were able to switch over our pup to new food without much of an issue. Also, our Frenchie is in the teething phase. There are some great suggestions to help with this cycle. Hopefully, our baby will break this phase soon and will not find everything appealing to chew on and will chew on her 20 something different toys. If you have never owned a Frenchie, this book is very helpful!!! We are hoping with this wonderful knowledge if the puppy will teach the older dog how to properly behave!!!

Solid basic information, well organized
This book is extremely well organized, and covers all the basics. It is a fun read, and has some nice photos. It is very strong on history of the breed, and has some good training tips. There was little or no information on reproduction, and little info on development. For example, I could not find the age at which a female would come into heat, or, at what age a French Bulldog's bones are fully mature. But, overall, I would recommend this book for ease of use and great organization.

A good starter if you are getting a puppy
This book is written for the American market but it's full of helpful facts and tips. I have found the information really useful and it prepares you well for your new puppy. I would have preferred this to be in paperback because the ring binding does sometimes make it awkward turning the pages - I worry that i'll catch the pages. Apart from this, it's a handy reference guide.

A useful book
I bought this when I adopted a rescue Frenchie - a gorgeous girl named Phoebe! This book gives you some good basic info but doesn't give enough info or warnings associated with the breeds unfortunate propensity towards back problems and other ailments.
