Replaced a 15 year old laminator that was a workhorse for my preK so I'm hopeful for a good long life from a Fellowes. Technology has improved laminators, you can tell by the photo this one is much smaller and lighter. This one is for home but I could easily take this with me to school if I wanted. Purchased for the 12.5" size. Warms up fast which is a great feature. I do a LOT of laminating. So much easier than the old rolls of sticky laminate that you prayed would go on straight and not wrinkle. Any older teacher knows that frustration. If I get 5 years out of this one it will be well worth the cost. I spent half as much for a knockoff which offered the same size and speed but didn't seal well and I was past the return when it stopped working sealing well. So far it's working flawlessly. I like the wide feed tray insert because I was able to feed two images into it simultaneously, saving a great deal of time. It heats up quickly and accepts 3ml and 5ml laminate pouches. It worked very well with a generic brand of laminate pouches, saving money not having to purchase the name brand pouches. So far, so good.
