The first time I used it, only when the engine was running, it charged my laptop well (I checked the watts). It didn't get too hot. I unplugged it when I parked to camp for the night. The next day, the car battery was dead! I didn't put too much thought to it.I used it again the next day, again while driving, and after unplugging and parking for the night, my car was dead AGAIN. Now I just bought this car 5 months prior, and had left a dome light on one time overnight with no issue. So for something to make the car not start, it must be AWFUL. I threw it away. I didn't even want to give it to anyone and create a burden for them. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it did in fact charge my laptop and at the end of the day, I learned how to change my car's battery. So I gained a skill, even if a $20 item cost me closer to $150. DO NOT BUY THIS, NOT WORTH IT!!!
