Chattanooga Hydrocollator Steam Pack, Standard 1006, 10 X 12 Inches - 1 ea

They looked like they were to big for my hydrocollator but when wet, they are the perfect size! I love these steam packs which stay hot for at least 30 minutes. They last at least a year and I use them hard (constantly in and out of the hydrocollator on clients).

Have been using these for over 20 years. They last for a long time until they need to replaced.

Our chiro office was in need of replacements as the old ones were starting to leak. It was really great to find these available on Amazon and for a very decent price. After following the instructions on pre-soaking these items, I'm happy to report that they are performing effectively and without any leakage. I've actually used them myself due to a recent back strain. What great pain relief they brought. Wish I had this at home!

I dislike the product. Wasn’t what I thought it would be. I’m sure I’ll have a use for it but not now.

Easy to use, holds the heat, perfect size for body parts intended , no leaks, no smells

I needed to replace my 10x12 Chattanooga which was 40 years old. These products WORK and LAST forever if you use them correctly and take care of them. This is their standard size and can be used on a variety of body areas. I fold it in half to wrap around my shoulder cuff to loosen up muscle spasms after doing an intense weight workout. First time you use it, remember to boil in water for at least 30 minutes covered to "season" it. After that,10 minutes into hot water under a medium flame in a covered pot is enough (IMPORTANT: do NOT use this pot for cooking food- the treated sand in the pockets has all kinds of chemicals you don't want to be ingesting). Pick up the hydrocolator from the pot with tongs and wrap a medium thickness small towel around it to avoid getting burned. A plush towel will not transmit the radiating wet heat, which should last at least 20 minutes. After use, hang it up over your shower curtain rod to dry. Do NOT PUT IN A WASHING MACHINE. This will last you forever and keep your muscular spasms or strains in check.

These have a bad odor and I had to change the water in the hydroculator and throw out the packs.

This has helped my back pain more than anything else I've tried. The moist heat delivered is very soothing. Or you can use it frozen without worrying about ice melting all over you and your furniture. I store mine in a bag in the freezer. This is made to last over many, many times usage. I would suggest purchasing the cover if you plan to use regularly as regular towel are not designed especially to fit each shape of hydrocollator.
