Good quality welds, woulda been better if solid stock was used like the smaller size hitch, but still looks tuff. Only hoped they had lockable pins for the adjustable hitch part.

I upgraded trucks which included upgrading from a 2” receiver to a 2.5” receiver. I already had a 2”Andersen WDH and loved it. I didn’t want to run it with a sleeve, so I ordered their 2.5” drop hitch. Was surprised to see that the 2” is made from solid stock yet the 2.5” is made from tube stock. I doubt it’ll ever be an issue, just thought it was interesting that the 2” appears to be built stronger.

Anderson products are very well made and of good quality, however for the size I ordered Amazon had the description and Anderson part number incorrect. I wanted and the Amazon description listed a 3” shank, but the part number is for the 2” shank, which is what was shipped to me twice. I called Amazon customer service and they had no idea what I was asking for……Could get the correct hitch direct from Anderson for $40 more.

Solid hitch. Pins are tight so there is very little movement. No issues and pulls great. The two pin holes is nice so you can set the hitch tight to truck or little further out. Very happy.

SOLID, WELL BUILT

I bought this ball mount a few years ago and it has met all my expectations and more. I bought it so I could eliminate the adapter sleeve in my hitch (adapts 2.5" hitch to a 2" ball mount) and to increase my towing capacity. It is very versatile with the two ball sizes, 8" rise and drop, and very heavy duty. With the 16,000 tow rating, I'll never have to worry about exceeding my limit.
