Mini-Mighty Mind Ages 3-8 (#40104)

This is a wonderful activity set. For all ages and inspires creativity. My mother is pretty far into dementia and was losing her ability to do puzzles as she has always loved to do. I have bought her both the mini and the full size and she never tires of doing them with us when we visit the nursing home (she is 89 & deaf pretty much limited to her days in wheelchair and the good care she gets from staff.) ~ Nina

For developing budding visual-spatial skills, this is a fun toy that appeals to my two-year-old child. The essence of the toy is that one places shapes on a card, one of many that come in a deck. The ease level ranges from super-easy, with each shape clearly delineated on the card, to slightly less easy, with the lines in between shapes missing, so the child has to think a bit in order to place the pieces. It's small/portable and well-made, and my son has enjoyed it; I thus recommend this toy, but feel that most children would be FAR past it at age eight.

Cute game! But my “just turned 3 year old” does them all super easily. I thought it was something that would challenge her. Would be very good for a 2-2.5 year old.

Seemed like it would be a great toy. Kids are bored with it almost instantly. I bought for my daycare and have yet to have any kids play with it long. I bought two sets for younger and older kids and they are now on the shelf of forgotten toys.

Fun game for preschoolers but I recommend getting the regular Mighty Minds if your preschooler is a little more advance. Mine only found the last 4 challenging but she enjoys doing all of them.

This wonderful interactive toy has been around 40 year, and tho it’s abstract, it allows preschoolers to focus on color, shape and spatial elements in a game format. It enhances hand eye coordination and precision, and satisfies the mastery drive in independent challenges if the child enjoys it solo rather than as interactive play. Convenient tin keeps parts together.

Bought this for my 4.5 yr old twins. Way too easy! They finished all the cards in about 15 minutes. I thought they would be the perfect age since it was rated 3-8. It’s a great concept but much much too simple. Should have just bought the original.

While this is recommended for ages 3-8, it was no challenege at all for my 5 year old and my 3 year old was able to figure everything out pretty simply within a matter of minutes. I would have expected it to be more of a challenge and a longer-lived item, but since it was so easy they haven't bothered with it much since the first day we got it.

My son is just over 3yo and he absolutely loved these puzzles. I can feel his confidence with his shape recognition and also his spatial reasoning when trying to fit the puzzles together. I highly recommend this for any kid around this age. He can do almost a solid hour of these puzzles (we have the next one up too which is for 4yo).
