Replacement Tapered Countersink Drill Bit Set 6 Pc (#8) 11/64"

Piloting holes in hardwood causes a lot of heat build-up, especially with a tapered bit like these. That heat weakens the temper in the steel causing it to lose it’s cutting edge. Pulling the bit back often to clear the chips will help prolong the life of the bit, but it is nice to know that the pilot can be changed out if compromised or broken, and at a fairly reasonable cost.

At this point, no punt on words, I have not used them or one enough to really get the real feel of it's quality.. so I may chime in later for a full review... so far so good in the little use I have with this product.Gcx-Man

Bought to replace bit in Dewalt set. Seem to be better quality than originals.

These are great. They work well and leave little tear out. However, I've broken a few of them after only a month. I'm pretty hard on them though.

I buy in store and i ended up with the stop piece because they brake all the timeand the store dont sell separate i founded here for less

These work great but sometimes the very tip snaps off, they can be a bit brittle. It seems to vary between bits but other than that work great.
