The purple was just a pretty and vibrant in person as it was in the picture. It felt like a very nice quality, and it had a good thickness to it that made me feel comfortable. I also felt like it fully covered my top and bottom, and this what I was looking for so I could feel comfortable playing in the pool with my child. However, the fit was not quite right. I am about 5'4, and although it fit me across my chest and around my waist, it seemed like I wasn't quite tall enough for the back to stretch out and fit snug like it needed to fit.
