This kit has proved fine for hanging a heavy side gate. My only gripe was with the latch stay. The slot that the latch drops into when you close the gate is very shallow and the leading edge is quite rounded. As a result, the latch slips back out of the slot very easily. I actually replaced the stay with one from an old set, and now the gate stays latched. The rest of the kit worked well.

poor quality i couldn’t use one of the handles due to it been bent so the circlip wouldn’t fit

I would highly recommend this set of gate fittings. Everything is easy to install and the set can easily support a heavy gate.

The item arrived it clearly shows in the picture and in the description that there are 3 hinges. Only two present in a sealed bag .I thought I had misread and went off and used the bits, so too late to return ! Have now ordered some separate hinges to make up the gap at more expense !!!Not happy,

This a a review of the product only.Well all seemed good when it first arrived 3 hinges etc, all appeared sturdy and fitted in 30mins. It looked the part so I was pleased however the next day the first person using it told me the inside handle had fallen off. When you look at the casting the metal is clearly rust coloured in places so it looks like poor casting and corrosion setting in before any coating was applied.Sending back isn't an option as I need the hinges to keep the gate in use!So perhaps the old adage of "buy cheap, but twice" is proven in this case.But of course make your own mind up!

Seems good quality and value for money, only time will tell if it stands up to the weather and doesn’t rust away.
