I'm kind of bored so I thought I would write this review. This light is very well constructed and very bright. I'm not crazy about the batteries that this thing uses. They cost more, but more than that; they aren't as readily available. If you buy them from desertcart you can get a good deal, but you have to buy them in bulk. With all that being said, this is a great little flashlight. This was the first bright flashlight that I ever bought and then I kept on buying them searching for a brighter one each time. I learned a lot about flashlights just by comparing them side by side. I learned that higher lumens doesn't really equal a better flashlight. All of my other flashlights are higher lumens and I don't doubt it because on a really tight beam they are all brighter; so yes in that way they are brighter. But walking down a dark path, what good is a bright tight beam? Not bad, but not great. All of my other flashlights have adjustable beams also. The interesting thing about this Nu Flare is that when you open the beam up on my other flashlights that are brighter to match the size beam of the Nu Flare; the other flashlights aren't as bright when it really matters. Don't get me wrong; I love all my flashlights and they get used more just because I like using AA and AAA batteries more. I recommend this flashlight because it is awesome and I recommend my other flashlights too. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a light whether or not you should buy this one. I have the Nebo Redline, Nebo Redline SE, terralux lightstar 100, icon 50 lumen, icon 100 lumen, 7w 300 lumen mini cree, a 300 lumen cree headlamp, another 300 lumen cree that takes the 18650 battery and this Nu Flare. Hope I'm not forgetting one. Anyhow, all of these flashlights are great and all bright. I'm not selling flashlights or endorsing any of them; I just like collecting them and of course, using them to see in the dark. I always use reviews in making my decisions on buying lights or anything for that matter, so I wanted to give people a real idea of what they are buying, at least in the brightness. Even though this isn't the brightest light it does beat them all if you open the beam to equal the beam of this Nu Flare and that gives you more light in the long run. It's a good light, they all are. It came stuck on wide and I can't move it. It seems bright enough, I just wish it would focus from wide to spot.
