Maybe it is correct that this "became" standard. Now, three brothers are here. Rule of "CUSTOM" family All foundation for writing is here. Moderate thickness of axis, balanced weight, preferable condition of nib and chic design. Perfect. By the way, there are "74" and "742". It can be said that this 3 kinds are base of all "CUSTOM". What's different point ? The decoration, length and thickness is difference a little. However the most different point is nib size. "CUSTOM 743" is #15, the most biggest among this 3 series (But this doesn't mean large nib is good). Oh, price is different also... pretty. I bought the 823 in medium nib because of the hype—plus I really enjoy a nice brown color. It was very enjoyable, but I thought I might like a fine nib better. So I held out until I found this great deal on the 743. It’s everything I thought it would be. The filling mechanism is easier to clean than the vac system of the 823. And the fine nib suits my Jibun Techo better. The seller packages safely and ships quickly considering they’re across the world. I would purchase again!
