Learn how to use the most effective acupressure points. Acupressure is easy to learn, and easy to apply effectively. No special tools are necessary to treat the points. Learn how to locate acupressure points accurately. In addition to the top acupressure points to treat each health issue, information on which supplements work best is included. Just five minutes is all it takes. Review: Clear and helpful - I have 3 or 4 books on acupressure. What I like about this one is that, unlike my other books, it has an index where all conditions are listed. The author doesn't waste her and our time talking about TCM theory. She touches the subject briefly and then goes straight to each condition, how each condition is treated in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She shows the acupressure points that are recommended in each case and uses large diagrams so the reader will know exactly how to locate the point. The main difference between this book and others I have is that, in my other books, the authors seem more interested in the points and then list ALL the many conditions the points treat. Here the author goes directly to each specific condition and then provides the best points to treat said condition, which is so much easier for us, readers. We, readers, don't need to know how many conditions are treated by each point. We need to know which points treat a specific condition. I am sure the author, who is an accupuncturist herself, has the knowledge to write a lengthy book on TCM theory, meridians and so on. But she wasn't interested in lecturing us. She obviously wrote this book because she wants to help her readers help themselves. Kudos. Review: Excellent Resource with Phototherapy Patches!! - My husband and I began using phototherapy (light therapy) patches in May 2023. The phototherapy patches are recognized by the FDA as a general wellness product; all they do is reflect your infrared light back into you so your own body can create peptides, or in the case of pain, move energy which is stuck and presenting as pain. We were seeing great results and I became curious in acupressure and acupuncture because I understood the infrared light stimulating the skin could potentially provide greater results in combination with placing the patches on specific meridians. I purchased this book and another by this Deborah Bleecher. Both books are GREAT and my husband and I saw our results improve by understanding patch placement. What I like about this book is the photographs and it is organized by certain health problems. I also like that the author includes information from Chinese medicine, herbs, and other tools, such as massage. This book has a section specific to babies, as well. I recommend both of this author's books.

TOO DETAILED for me
I was hoping this would be a "go-to" guide, like an acupressure for dummies, but it's nearer to being a detailed textbook (266 pages; nice 7"x10"; nice, clear, photos & illustrations; easy to read, not cramped). If you have a baby in the house, there are 31 pages dedicated to babies; and if you need the long answer: this is your tome. I found what I needed in the 10 page section: "Top 10 Acupressure Points"; I'm going to copy these pages then give the book to my cousin who just had twins.

EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND USE!
Deborah has, once again, produced a work that is incredibly easy to understand and easy to use for those who are perhaps needle-shy. And this book is encyclopedic in its thoroughness. Deborah overlooks no ailment. The "how to" guide is particularly instructive, and the specific ailments that can be treated are pretty exhaustive. I was surprised by the number of things that can be treated through acupressure, starting with acid reflux โ something I struggle with daily. The illustrations are spot-on. Clearly this book has been written by a healer and not just a practitioner, evidenced by the numerous sections on baby ailments. I highly recommend!

Great read & information. I wanted a straightforward understanding of acupressure.
Liked the entire book. I have a recent injury. Intend to self heal. Received Ultrasound X-ray & was diagnosed by physician as a sprain to the involved limb.

buy this book
I just read a book written by Deborah Bleecker, LAC, MSOM . This book is very enlightening and obviously written by a writer who is an expert in the subject of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I am amazed at her knowledge. The book contains excellent information on hundreds of conditions in the body and how to treat them. The graphics are excellent. I have located some Chinese medicine that I think will help me.

A brilliant guide book
This is the second book I have bought by this author. I bought it because to my dismay, acupuncturists in this country do not seem to have a clue as to how to treat people. They don't keep the needles in long enough to have a good effect, and they often only do one treatment a month which is worthless. I have studied both books and can now treat myself and my family successfully. Thus avoiding throwing money away on badly taught practitioners. I really recommend this book if you are just starting out. You won't regret it. The second book I referred to is 'Acupuncture Point Handbook'. It's a bit more in depth and shows you more points. Used together they are a powerful tool.
