National Geographic The Photo Ark Vanishing: The World's Most Vulnerable Animals

I've been following the incredible photography of Joel Sartore & his amazing National Geographic Photo Ark Project for years. I'm disturbed by the increasing number of animal species that are vanishing in just my lifetime. Many of these endangered creatures won't be around for the next generation. I support his project & this book is stunningly gorgeous. Capturing the photos as he's done aren't easy. I've gotten several of these books; one for myself & the others as gifts. The recipients all love & treasure this book & its phenomenal photos as much as I. I'll be ordering more in the future! You won't be disappointed as it's perfect for everyone!

Gorgeous book! Perfect for daughter striving to own the entire Photo Ark collection. Be careful, though; you buy it as a gift and it ends up in your library instead!

I love these books! This is the third in the Photo Ark series that I have purchased. Beautiful pictures that you can look at over and over.

I've wanted this book for years, and now I am so lucky to have it. I'm a great admirer of Joel's and the wonderful work he is doing. The photography is beyond beautiful and to see what this animal world has to show us, and to those animals that may soon be gone from us, just breaks my heart. Hopefully they can be saved and Joel's book, hopefully will help with that.

BEAUTIFUL book in BEAUTIFUL condition!! My son is graduating this December from Earlham College where he has majored in Biology and Art. I gave him this book for Christmas, and he was ECSTATIC. He said they had a copy of it in the Photo Lab at school, and he had borrowed it for a while, and that it had been hard to return it when he left campus. If you like animals, like photography, are education-oriented, or just like beautiful books... this checks all of those boxes. Plus, all proceeds from the sales of these books go directly to National Geographic's Photo Ark initiative, which supports conservation and habitat restoration work around the globe. Highly recommend!

Like all of the National Geographic books, this is thought provoking and makes you wonder just when will mankind start to think about the rest of the world and start to reverse the problems we are making. It is a great book and unfortunately, people in years to come may only have books to see what life was once like.

Bought the book as a gift for a friend. Expected it to be in tip-top condition but noticed that a few issues had been covered up. To start off, there was black tape concealing some issue along the spine of the book. It partly covered the nat geo symbol. And I've noticed people talk about a dust cover. My book arrived with no cover of any sorts. I take gift giving seriously and expect my gifts to be in top-notch condition and this was such a bummer. I don't even have time to get it replaced. Such a disappointment. Wouldn't have minded paying extra for the real deal if Amazon discounts are going to compromise on quality.

Great book! My daughters loved it! Amazing pictures and information. We had many great moments together to go through this book.
