Cons - It can get hot after running it for a while. - At first there’s a distinct burning plastic smell which tends to be normal when a recently created product warms up. It happens with anything that has any sort of motor or a heating element.

I used to used one of the similar powered red one of these inverters here on Amazon that has the aluminum exterior with the cooling fin exterior. I purchased this one because I actually keep the inverter continuously plugged in my car , between the center console and the lower left side of my passenger seat, for charging phones and or laptop etc. The red versions' cooling fins started to scrap my center console so I found this as an alternative. I am really not so sure how much those cooling fins on the red version worked, though the fan on both this and the red version seem to do just fine as I have not had any heat issues with this one as of yet.

This has been a life saver for me. I work a lot on the go and have to take calls in my car sometimes and after my computer dying a couple of times, I decided to purchase this and I love it! I can charge my computer while driving to an appointment or take a call in the car with no worries about battery on computer dying. This would be great for road trips or working on the go. Very happy with my purchase! It does have a small fan, but it is not noisy.

Low quiescent draw when not in use, efficient conversion to 120v. Works great with my Surface PC power brick. Four stars since it is modified sin and that might be an issue for sensitive electronics. Otherwise, top-notch.

My daughter went on a trip across the country with this in the car to charge up her electronics. She plugged things in while driving and didn't have any issues with it except that she couldn't plug in some of her AC devices because of how the plugs were designed. The system is quiet and stays cool enough to keep the electronics peaked. The only inconvenience is that the cord is a little short so it has to be on the center console or thereabouts.

I ordered this item when I ordered it it said read free returns. It does not work very good it. The items that we tried to plug into it they would not work it’s not powerful enough for anything. To top it off when I returned it they charge me $5.99 for shipping unless I took it to whole foods in another city that is not open because of Covid the only option I had was to send it back to UPS and the only way to do it is if I paid $5.99 I do not recommend ordering this item from this company!!!

Well, most vehicles these days have plenty of USB connections to charge your devices in the car but what if you need to power your laptop or other small electronics? After using a much older generation Linksys DC to AC converter since 2005 which was about the size of a standard red brick and only offering a single AC outlet and limited by a 24" cigarette lighter cord. Fast forward 15 years and we have a converter that is about half the size same wattage AND two USB outlets! To top it off a longer power cord! (I didn't measure it but I'm guessing 36" which not will reach the footwell area of the backseat. So far no problems, no fan noise that I can hear while driving and doesn't overheat. For the price, I recommend this converter for your small electronics that run on AC only.

Wanted it to work for the shop vac in the car but it doesn’t. Probably works fine for gaming and phone charging. The company reached out and offered a full refund after reading my review. The refund isn’t necessary but was greatly appreciated. Customer service gets 5 stars!
