Works as intended. Quality product
I've bought one of these from another brand that looks almost exactly identical, but the difference is huge. This motor speed controller actually works and works well!. The output voltage is a bit rough, but I have the parts and know how to clean up the signal. It does work out of box regardless! Very much a great value

Works great
Got this for my treadmill to control the motor since the motor control board went out on it and they wanted a fortune to replace it. There is a YouTube video on how to do this. Took my 10 mins to wire in. No soldering required. Has been working great for months without a problem. Would buy again.

WORKS WELL
This voltage controller is doing a nice job of running the DC treadmill motor that I retrieved out of a scrapped treadmill. I am using it to power a drum sander that I built. The only issues I had was that the potetiometer wires came unsoldered . They are very thin, and separated from the body of the potetiometer. I resoldered them on and it works fine now.

Good control
Takes more to turn it up than what I expected but finite control is excellent. I purchase another on to replace my first one when it does eventually wear out.

Does Not adjust Output Voltage!
Just attempted to use first time today, after purchasing 10 months ago. Does not adjust the output voltage - 118V output at rheostat knob all the way counterclockwise, 123 (line) voltage all the way clockwise. Instructions included with controller seem to suggest the output range can be adjusted, but does not say how, and I opened it and saw no obvious range-limiter. For me, junk.

Nice work, some help with settings needed
Some date chart with percentage values would be useful to understand what the actual location on the delivered values in relationship to the position on the knob . Nice work

Good Amp Range
Im using this for a 1600 watt heating element. It has a pretty good control range at 110 volts. Lots more adjustability than some of the other regulators Ive read about. It stays pretty cool and hasnt shown any signs of failing after using it about 10 hours. Ill update when/if it breaks.

Poor design. Potential electrical shock hazard.
Badly designed placement of electrical connections outside of metal housing are a potential electrical shock factor. Perforated metal housing does not cover internal electrical connections and circuitry. Has only one place on one corner to mount the unit to a wall, counter top or in a box.

Utilisé pour contrôler la vitesse d'un moteur CC de tapis roulant avec un pont diode. Fait bien le travail !

I used this SCR to run a treadmill motor for a broken Delta mechanical VS wood lathe and added a few extra components to make it work properly, put together in the order below and it worked perfect the motor was silky smooth. SCR, 15 amp breaker, A/C choke, 50 amp bridge rectifier, D/C choke, DPDT switch (for reverse) and motor. I got this info DazeCars on youtube , check it out. Also there were some reviews that tested the SCR and reported them defective because there was no change of voltage when testing the SCR with a multimeter (In or out) when adjusting the pot. I did this and though I had a bad SCR but in order to see a voltage change you must hook it up to something and then measure. Hope this may help.

I used this voltage reducer to make my treadmill-motor-powered wood lathe. even with a 3 1/4 hp dc motor on it, it works great!

Output voltage doesn't change. Potentiometer resistance doesn't change.

The controller had a small fan incorporated in the housing to aid in cooling. I changed out the potentiometer to one with less resistance which gave me better control of motor speed. Happy with the performance. Good delivery time.
