DigiTechFS3X Three-Function Foot Switch

Bought it to use with my DigiTech JH Experience and Brian May pedals. You have to push so hard on the toe and heel of the expression pedal switches you risk breaking it. The FS3X also has up and down buttons that switches model choices without having to reach down to the to the pedal. A worthwhile investment if you have these pedals.

The FS3X is a momentary style footswitch which means it will switch on when pressed and then immediately switch off when released. This is good for the Eleven Rack since it only senses when the footswitch is ON to toggle On/Off. I was originally using a latch style footswitch (think of the ones that click when changing the channel of an amp). But that style requires two presses to re-engage since the first press would be ON and it will "latch" onto that state until the footswitch is depressed once again to signal OFF.For those who own an Eleven Rack they will notice that there are three buttons on this footswitch even though the Eleven Rack can only assign two functions to an external footswitch. When using the FS3X with an Eleven Rack the first button (labelled "Mode") will serve as FUNCTION B: on the Eleven Rack, the "Down" button will serve as FUNCTION A:, and lastly, the "Up" button will toggle a quick succession of FUNCTION B: then FUNCTION A:. I currently have mine turning on and off the Flanger and Chorus on the Eleven Rack at the same time.However, I found you cannot use this button to toggle the Wah function on the Eleven Rack. This requires a simultaneous toggle of FX1 and FX2 on the Eleven Rack and the FS3X "Up" doesn't toggle both functions simultaneously, only in rapid succession.Also, the FS3X comes with it's own 10' TRS male to male cable, requires NO power supply or 9V battery, and is cheaper than the Boss FS-6.

I play solo gigs using a TC Helicon Play Acoustic and found out that this footswitch works as an add-on to it so it brought my performances to another level where I can loop and use those 3 buttons for vocal harmony, guitar boost and vocal delay... just great!

I purchased this foot switch to be used along with my DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay. When using this foot switch with the delay, one is able o control the Rubberneck feature, turn modulation on/off, tap tempo in, and controls secondary feedback regeneration control for oscillation.The foot switch turned out to be a bit smaller than I had imagined it would be, however this does not affect its usefulness at all. The switches are spaced well and do not feel cramped. The switches are momentary soft switches and have functioned perfectly since I've received it. The enclosure itself is a bit shorter in height than most pedals, and the slant on the enclosure makes accessing the switches easy. The pedal also is shipped with 4 rubber feet that are not installed, which I like because I usually remove feet to install velcro anyway. Plus, if you want to install the feet, they literally stick right on. A economy style molded TRS cable is included to ensure you can use the switch out of the box with your compatible pedal of choice.If you have one of the DOD/Digitech pedals that makes use of this foot switch, I'd highly suggest picking it up to expand your pedal's capabilities!

At first, it was a little overwhelming to use, but within 1 hour, that was all gone and I was enjoying the backup this device was providing. Note: When the instructions say to "keep it simple" when teaching the device, they mean it. Cowboy chords and cowboy strums, but once it gets the beat and the line, you're cruising. I purchased this specifically for use with a JamMan Stereo per the manual recommendation. Since Digitech manufactures the FS3X for a number of different pairings with their devices, the actions that this switch performs are going to differ depending on what you use it with. That also means that the labeling on the pedal is not always going to be appropriate or intuitive.As a result, when I first plugged this in to my JamMan Stereo, I thought it wasn't working. But upon closer inspection everything was fine. It would be more intuitive if the switch labeled "Mode" controlled the reverse feature on the JamMan, but this is not the way it is laid out. Instead, Mode controls Undo, and the middle button controls Reverse.This all matches up with the manual for the JamMan - it's just confusing when trying to perform an action quickly. So to help with this, I made a card to cover up the stock labels. This makes it more intuitive for my use.

I wanted/needed to control the UA OX box without having to open the software via WiFi this footswitch allows you to turn on and off revereb, delay, EQ and compression. You can control any three but you must assign which ones they are in the program otherwise the pedal wont work.
